Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings | Official Trailer
First, I would like to start off that I love martial arts movies, so this movie was awesome! I watched this movie with some friends after getting a rental DVD from Red Box at the local grocery store. We watched the movie straight on from beginning to end without getting up from our seats at home as we were glued to it. There are some movies that you can go take a break during a “slow-scene”, but this movie had action from beginning to the end- even to after the credits as most Marvel movies does.
While watching the movie , I was able to some-what relate to most of the background of the characters as an “Asian American”. As a second-generation Asian American, one kind of lives two lives (culturally) – One as an “American” growing -up in the United States and second as an “Asian” with holding on the “Asian culture” of your parent(s).
SPOILER ALERT!!!
Why I’m writing about this particular movie is because I thought the story of Xu Wenwu, the father was very relevant to life challenges overall (past, present, and future). A father that lost his wife and couldn’t live his “life” fully as he wasn’t able to handle his grief or “lost”. Unfortunately, his kids (son and daughter) had to “live” their lives “facing” their father’s grief and challenges. I love the scene when the son (Shang -Chi ) quoted (paraphrasing), “When you lost mom, you forgot we (him and his sister) were alive”. Stop living the past, and move on..”

So how do “we” move on from the “past” (e.g. hurts, mistakes, trauma, sins, etc..)? Do you have any personal suggestions or personal advice from your own life? If Xu had that “support” from others, you think he would’ve been able to handle his wife’s death a “little” easier or better?

After watching Spiderman 3 or "SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME", I was thinking about the theme of "second chance". I was reminded of how we sometimes have a a "hatred" or "dislike" towards an individual, group, or anybody because of a past "indifference" (e.g. mistake, hurt, some type of "abuse", etc..). I've learned to "try" to understand some of the reasons what causes people(s) to do what they do. When you start learning their past that "created" their present behavior , you can have somewhat a more "compassion" for them. That's if you "try" to "understand their past".
Spoiler Alert
In the movie , Peter Parker was about to send these "villains" back home, but his "compassionate" mother challenged him to look at his own heart to decide not too. He wanted to "help" them before returning them back to their own world. However, we sometimes forget that "we" can't do it alone, which he would get some help from others.
Are there people around you that you want to "help"? Or are there some individual(s) you are "trying" to help, but not getting anywhere? I've learned from my past "mistakes" that I can't do it on my own, it's more like "we" need one another as a "team" (there is no "I" in team). This is why I love Spiderman and the whole "Marvel" comic characters or "superheroes", they "work together" (most of the times, which is why we need to "pray for unity" - see John 17). It also reminds me of one of the L.O.T.R (Lord of the Rings) movies -"Battle of the 5 Armies".

No one can say Captain America: Civil War is Spider-Man's movie. He's definitely not even in the top three most important characters in the film. But this is Spider-Man's introduction into the proper MCU. (Fun fact: None of the pervious films were Marvel Studios — they all came from Sony, which is why they're not on Disney+. Spidey was only allowed back into the MCU due to a complicated rights agreement hammered out between Sony and Marvel.) You can see how Iron Man recruits Peter Parker to be one of the Avengers, so it's a good one to revisit.

Lastly, the Marvel Movies show the many "powers" each super hero has. Well, don't you wish you had some of the powers? Well, you can ask God for this.. It's called "spiritual gifts"...
However, the most important of these is LOVE! This where "LOVE" can help forgive your "enemies" !
How can you love your "enemies"? Well, the first step is to LOVE the One ("Creator") that created them and you. God can "help" you do this by first by starting a "personal relationship" with him , which you can do this just by "asking" Him. Here is an example (prayer) way to do it..

Do the dates ascribed to the Egyptian dynasties falsify the date of biblical creation? “Egyptian chronology can be a challenging subject for biblical creationists. That’s because the secular, majority view about these chronologies extends further back than an objective reading of the biblical chronogenealogies allows for creation: a little over 6,000 years ago. These chronologies are hotly debated among Christians and secularists alike, with the consensus being increasingly challenged. Moreover, some of the incredible Egyptian monuments like the great pyramids on the Giza Plateau have dates ascribed to them that would have them being built before the earth-reshaping Flood of Noah’s time around 4,500 years ago. Following a strict biblical chronology, Egyptian civilization cannot predate creation, nor can the pyramids be pre-Flood constructions….

Why should we be concerned about Egyptian Chronology? Isn’t this just a side issue? Few people realize that Egyptian Chronology is considered by modern archaeologists as the “gold standard” of chronology. That means that is regarded as an accurate record of history. But there is a problem. The Egyptian Chronology, as modern archaeologists understand it, stretches the history of mankind beyond the Biblical timeline for the creation and the Flood. How is it possible that the Pyramids could still be standing if they were built before the Flood! We are left either with a destroyed faith or compromising the Biblical chronology. This seminar will help straighten out the mess and present some alternatives to the current Egyptian Chronology.

Well, there are various references to the word Libya in the Bible. However, many of the translations are questionable as sometimes a word for an old area of Persia (Phut) is translated as Libya.
Basically Strong’s (from Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance) words 3864, 3865, & 3866 means people from the interior of Africa and seems to include the areas west of Egypt.
