It’s been a miserable few weeks for Malcolm Turnbull’s government, stalled by myriad cock-ups and controversies. But the greatest challenge it faces continues to be Australia’s crisis over energy supply and cost. Who hasn’t been shocked by a recent electricity or gas bill? And who isn’t infuriated that power prices have risen so sharply? In a country as abundant with resources as ours it defies logic that there are now some Australians who can’t even pay for the electricity or gas to cook a simple meal. While federal – and state – politicians scramble to act, Elon Musk, the American billionaire with the brilliant mind, says he wants to help. In an exclusive interview with Liz Hayes, Musk says Australia’s energy emergency is easily fixable, and his construction of the world’s largest lithium ion battery at Jamestown in South Australia is proof.

Tesla, Elon Musk’s electric car manufacturing company, initially appeared to leave the rest of the car industry behind. But competition has become tougher.

In the running to establish electric vehicles, Tesla initially appeared to have left the rest of the car industry in the dust. But things have gotten tougher for Elon Musk’s crown jewel company. The race to dominate the market for the car of the future has entered a critical phase.

Tesla has set new standards in the automotive industry. For years, its CEO was as celebrated as any rock star. But both the boss and his company are coming under increased fire from critics. Employees have claimed working conditions at production facilities are chaotic and often questionable. Production on the Tesla assembly lines has often been brought to a standstill. Meanwhile, losses are growing, while Musk’s reputation has also become somewhat dented and scratched. Meanwhile, other major car brands are working at top speed to bump Tesla from its pole position, with Porsche leading the pack. Little is known about the German carmaker’s new electric Taycan model, but this documentary reveals just how dangerous a new electric Porsche could be for Tesla. And major carmakers have another trump card to play. They have decades of experience in the mass production of cars, while Tesla is still a newcomer to the field. The film also shows how much German technology is hidden in Tesla models, and how both Musk and new Chinese competition are betting on German expertise. The race to dominate the market for electric cars is far from over.

Elon Musk’s Plan For $10,000 Tesla Stock. Tesla Stock Analysis-How Much Is Tesla Stock Worth? Will Tesla Stock Crash or is Tesla undervalued? Will Teslas Robotaxis boost Teslas financials? Elon Musk Claims that robot taxis will make owners $300,000 over their life time ($30,000 annually) in profit.

How much is Tesla stock worth based on its financial numbers and figures? Is Tesla Stock overvalued or undervalued? What are analysts predictions for Tesla stock and price targets? Should we buy Tesla at current prices or wait for even lower?

Tesla expects to launch the first robotaxis as part of broader vision for an autonomous ride-sharing network in 2020, CEO Elon Musk said during the company’s Autonomy Day.

“I feel very confident predicting that there will be autonomous robotaxis from Tesla next year — not in all jurisdictions because we won’t have regulatory approval everywhere” Musk said without detailing what regulations he was referring to. He added that he is confident the company will have regulatory approval somewhere next year.

Tesla will enable owners to add their properly equipped vehicles to its own ride-sharing app, which will have a similar business model to Uber or Airbnb . Tesla will take 25 percent to 30 percent of the revenue from those rides, Musk said. In places where there aren’t enough people to share their cars, Tesla would provide a dedicated fleet of robotaxis.

Musk has talked about the Tesla Network and ambitions to allow owners to place their vehicles on the ride-hailing app since 2016.

All new Tesla vehicles are now produced with its custom full self-driving computer chip, a detail that Musk revealed during the event Monday. That chip fulfills the hardware requirements for full self-driving, according to Musk, who boasted that it was the best in the world. (Tesla vehicles are equipped with a suite of sensors such as forward-facing radar and cameras. It does not have lidar, or light detection and ranging radar, a sensor that most AV developers say is critical, but that Musk argues is a fool’s errand and “doomed.”)

The remaining step is the software, which Musk says will be “feature complete” and at a reliability level that we would consider that no one needs to pay attention, by the middle of next year.

“From our standpoint, if you fast forward a year, maybe a year and three months, but next year for sure, we’ll have over a million robotaxis on the road,” Musk said. “The fleet wakes up with an over the air update; that’s all it takes.”

Musk also noted at numerous times that the full self-driving and the robotaxi fleet will require regulatory approval.

Air Force tries to set record straight on what the Space Force is really about
    by Sandra Erwin — September 18, 2019
“..A major concern is a misconception that the Space Force will set national space policy and will lead in what historically have been civilian efforts like space exploration and economic exploitation of space, Thompson said. “There’s a discussion about this grand vision that the Space Force is going to orchestrate economics, and civil and all kinds of other sectors of the economy to take us to the moon and Mars,” he added. “That’s not the way the American system works.”

The Space Force will be much smaller than the other military services, but will have the same basic responsibility to “organize, train and equip” forces so they can be ready to respond during a crisis. For example, U.S. Space Command or another military combatant command would need space operators to help defend satellites if they are targeted by enemy lasers or anti-satellite missiles….”

After panelists spoke, they took questions from the audience.

Does the United States Need a Space Force?
Will the world’s next big conflict be in outer space? And if so, what would a “Space Force” do?
‘…But the truth is, Trump’s Space Force is no laughing matter. Did you know that our most powerful adversaries already have a Space Force?

In 2015, Russia actually combined their Space Force that manages their satellites and associated tracking and control networks with their Air Force and aerospace and missile defense force to create what they now call their Russian Aerospace Forces. That same year China engaged in a massive reorganization of their military which saw the creation of the PLA Strategic Support Force bringing their electronic network, cyber and space warfare forces together into a single service. Shockingly they both also have some basic abilities that we do not…”

Why We Need a Space Force October 3, 2018
“..First, let’s get a few misconceptions out of the way. The Space Force has nothing to do with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), astronauts, protecting the planet from asteroids, or fighting aliens. This is about how we organize, train, and equip our existing space forces to protect U.S. national security interests here on Earth. And President Trump did not come up with the idea of creating an independent military department for space. The role of space within the military has been debated for more than two decades in various forms. ..”

It would be cost prohibitive to make solar energy mainstream for major world consumption in the near future. The technology is pretty much ready for many business and consumer applications, but it would be way too expensive to replace the current energy infrastructure used for fossil fuel energy. Still, according to the European Photovoltaic Industry Association, solar power could provide energy for more than one billion people by 2020 and 26 percent of global energy needs by 2040…”

Pros & Cons of Wind Energy
“In the U.S., the greatest source of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions is the power sector, at about 38%. The largest source of power is coal, which, even though it produces less than 40% of the power, produces over 70% of the power sector’s greenhouse gas emissions. (20% of the greenhouse gas emissions are from natural gas-fired power plants.) Although wind turbines have become familiar in much of the U.S., wind power still (2013) only accounts for about 4% of the power sector.

The potential for wind energy is immense, and experts suggest wind power can easily supply more than 20% of U.S. and world electricity. The advantages and disadvantages of wind energy are detailed here to help you decide what the future of wind should be in the United States.

“Uploaded on Jul 7, 2010 … In 1979, Jimmy Carter, in a visionary move, installed solar panels on the roof of the White House. This symbolic installation was taken down in 1986 during the Reagan presidency. In 1991, Unity College, an environmentally-minded centre of learning in Maine acquired the panels and later installed them on their cafeteria roof.

In “A Road not Taken”, Swiss artists Christina Hemauer and Roman Keller travel back in time and, following the route the solar panels took, interview those involved in the decisions regarding these panels as well as those involved in the oil crisis of the time. They also look closely at the way this initial installation presaged our own era.

What was delivered was a ‘road’ that couldnt be driven
had LED lights on that just cycled
LED that were not visible even when the STREET LIGHTS WERE STILL ON, let alone in full daylight!

“Yes, they could. The basic engineering of Solar Roadways seems robust and fairly well thought through. Could they do so economically? It’s very difficult to see how…

Solar Roadways make them a lot more expensive — 10 to 40 times more expensive depending on assumptions — and in theory create the ability to avoid some costs and make some other costs more viable, but a lot of the additional value seems pretty flimsy. They will be unable to overcome this massive cost increase through generating electricity.

For example, they want to replace painting road markings — which would degrade the light hitting the solar panels — with LED road markings. Well, this just adds a lot of cost and heat, won’t necessarily be particularly visible during the day and will put LEDs and their wiring between the panels and the sunlight too. Ditto magically moving lane markings allowing shifts in traffic patterns will likewise be an expensive technical solution to some paint which needs to be restored every year or two and maybe some overhead signage…

So what’s the problem with snowplows? Well, they have heavy metal blades that scrape across the road. And the road in this case is a bumpy glass surface, because a slick surface would become a sheet of ice in the rain, so it needs to be textured. And the snowplow blade is going to be blasting across these bumps at 30-50 miles per hour scraping them off and shattering them. Oh, and leaving a lot of snow packed into the cracks between the bumps, degrading the effectiveness yet again. Salt, gravel and other substances will likely be required as well, which is fun when you have a bunch of glass panels with cracks between them allowing salty water in among the solar panels, LEDs, wires and heating coils…”

Is Solar Energy Sustainable? 4 Problems to Solve Before the Solar Revolution Joel Lee June 12, 2015 8 minutes
“…Seriously, we could run out of fossil fuels by 2060.

Solar energy is our best hope, but the development of said technology over the past few decades has been lackluster. How long before solar energy lives up to its promises? What’s taking so long? Will the energy revolution arrive in time?…

“Biomass Energy Pros and Cons You Absolutely Have to Know
Advantages and disadvantages of biomass – Bioenergy

The initial cost of a biomass boiler is higher than a regular gas or oil boiler.

Biomass boiler systems are generally larger than gas or oil boilers and require a separate storage area for fuel so therefore a large amount of space is required.

    -Hydro Power
    *NOT sustainable?

Ontario puts stop on renewable energy projects amid hydro rates uproar September 27 2016 6:32pm

With Kathleen Wynne’s government tanking in the polls, and consumers angry over soaring hydro rates in rural Ontario, the province is cancelling its latest round of costly renewable energy projects. As Shirlee Engel reports, it’s still won’t make much of a dent in hydro bills…”

Costa Rica Running on 100% “Renewable” Energy…or Are They? – David Pakman Show September 12, 2016

Wyoming proposal would require utilities to use fossil fuels
Mead Gruver, Associated Press Wed, Jan 25 2:36 PM PST
“..The legislators’ push to punish renewable energy use “clearly picks a preferred energy source regardless of cost. This may not only cost ratepayers and consumers in Wyoming, but it could harm our potential to attract new industry,” Godby said.

The bill would penalize utility-scale solar and wind because those producers are less able to respond quickly to fluctuating demand for power. Natural gas power plants can fire up quickly when millions of people turn on their air conditioners during a heat wave.

But the wind does not blow all the time and solar energy installations cannot produce electricity at night, making them less versatile than fossil fuels that can be burned whenever electricity is needed…”

Renewable energy has been both praised and derided as an alternative source of power over the past two decades. To its detractors it is inefficient, unreliable and economically unsound. To its advocates it is free, clean, and unlimited in its potential. With global reliance on dwindling oil reserves an international political priority, attention continues to focus on renewable energy and its applications…”

    Greed of Oil Industry?

    Alternate Energy Sources

“There is abundance of energy on earth, but these corporations and their profit based systems wont allow anyone to produce cheap energy. Because all the profit goes to these oil selling companies.

Deep Thought: Is “Renewable Energy” the answer to the “polluted” fossil fuels (e.g oil) crisis?

    Good News Education

    Got any UFO-Alien sighting stories?

I used to just ignore any stories relating to UFO’s in the past as I thought they were just “fake” and just part of science-fiction. The past year, I started to be more open-minded to it as a close-friend was so into astronomy’s mysteries. One day, I ran into this book called “”Is Something Out there” by Dale White Scholastic Book Services @1968″. I decided to read it while waiting for a “friend” to finish with her dental appointment at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities). I was so fascinated of the many stories of personal encounters with UFO’s that I couldn’t help put the book down. I decided to search some of these stories (see New Hampshire) and shared it on my personal “search about life” website..

I then remembered talking to some friends (Christians) who had some personal encounters themselves. I decided to do this blog this evening as a way to collect all these stories from people (very close) that I know personally enough to build the credibility. Here are just some:

*Initials are just made up to keep the person anonymous because too many people that experience these are afraid of ridicule

R.R. shared about her husband sharing how he saw an U.F.O. out in the farm fields late in the evening.

M.O. shared in September of this year about how he encountered a U.F.O. with a friend at a very young age. It was an amazing experience for him, which he and this friend all grown-up still share about this unique one-time experience in the state he grew-up in south of Minnesota.

B.B. shared in September about how he went camping in southern Minnesota and saw this red light from a U.F.O.

J.P. shared this evening about how he saw a U.F.O. with a green light that would stay still and then zoom quickly in the state of Alabama.
