Deep Thought: What “if” Eve didn’t eat the “forbidden fruit”?

Why Did God Create The Tree of Good and Evil if He Knew Adam and Eve Would Eat From it?

Why did God prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life after he had sinned? creation.com
“..This raises an interesting question. Why would God prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life after he had sinned? The Bible tells us that the last enemy to be destroyed is death (1 Corinthians 15:26). But if death is an enemy, wouldn’t it have been a good thing for Adam to live forever by eating from the Tree of Life?..

When Adam sinned, mankind became estranged from God and physical death entered the world. In this way, through one man, physical death entered the world (cf. Romans 5:12, 17), and through Adam, death now came to all men. If Adam had eaten from the Tree of Life after he sinned, he would have lived forever, but he would have lived in a state of eternal estrangement from God…

While death is tragic and an enemy to God’s perfect creation, this same curse of death, is also what allowed Christ to become incarnate as a man and to actually die on the cross as a ransom for His people. If Adam had eaten from the Tree of Life after he had sinned, all mankind would have lived forever, estranged from God; and Christ, our Kinsman-Redeemer, would not have been able to die on the cross in redemption. In other words, if God did not subject sinful humanity with a curse of death, sinful man would not have any chance of being reconciled back to God. If God did not prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life after he had sinned, a future redemption through the physical death of one of Adam’s descendants (Jesus Christ) would not have been possible…

Had Adam and Eve reached perfection they would have borne good children and founded a sinless family and society with God’s blessings. They would then have founded the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and become the Original True Parents of mankind. Humanity would have realized the Ideal of creation on earth.
Then when we shed our physical bodies and pass into the spirit world , we would have formed the Kingdom of God in Heaven.

Why didn’t Adam and Eve immediately die for their sin (Genesis 3)? gotquestions.org
“..Interpreters typically answer this question in one of two ways. First, many note that Adam and Eve did die, though not immediately. The Hebrew phrase translated “in the day” in Genesis 2:17 is sometimes used to mean “for certain” (e.g., Exodus 10:28; 1 Kings 2:37, 42). So, Adam and Eve “certainly” died; it’s just that their death took place much later (Genesis 5:5). This view is also supported by Genesis 3:22, in which God determines to bar man from the tree of life to prevent him from living forever. Adam and Eve lost eternal life, were expelled from the Garden of Eden, and eventually experienced physical death.

Folks with Signs Along the Highway Exit Ramps Part 2

I met a guy (Saturday, February 21st 2015) name Robert Sherman (name uncertain), who was holding up a sign asking for donations along the popular I-94 exit ramp on Ruth Street (St. Paul). I was walking to Firestone to see if my car (air intake valve loose) was fixed. I hesitated at first on passing by him, but I remembered a share from a friend (Bobby) from church on sharing the “Good News”. I prayed and walked across the street to hear his story. He told me that he’s been on disability. Was incarcerated and been struggling to get a job. He repeatedly shared how it’s hard to not have people label you due to your “past mistakes”. He then told me is a Christian. I tried to encourage him, that God will provide. I asked him what he was “begging” money for and he shared, he needed some money to buy a t-shirt from Family Dollar Store and sugar to make Kool-Aid for his kids. I then “preached” about the health “negative” effects of that drink. He then told me, ” I can’t do anything about it if my kids want it” (he clarified that his kids were in their 20’s..lol! I then decided to go to Aldi’s next door and buy some “healthy foods’ (bag of apples, some granola bars, and a dark chocolate bar as a dessert ‘)….

He thanked me and I asked if I could do a short prayer for him, which he was willing to receive it after I gave him this stuff (earlier he asked for $1). He told me he took the city bus from E. 3rd St. just to get here and hopes to “make enough” $$ then he plans to go home. This happened on a Saturday morning around late teens to early 20’s (Farenheit), with sunny weather. ..

Folks with Signs Along the Highway Exit Ramps Part 1

I’ve driven by “homeless” folks many times over the countless years around the Twin Cities and debating how God can use me to “reach out” to them….

The Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25 )https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2025&version=NIV41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”*see http://smu.gs/1yENQyBMoviesThe Fourth Wise Man http://youtu.be/Jg8Gho7hsz4Good News Sociologyhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/139706352858524/

I can’t say this was the voice of God, but this was spoken to my heart through an idea through a conversation with a friend. During Halloween, I like to give out “healthy juice” drinks (w/various Bible verses) instead of candy, which I bought a whole bunch several months ago. I was debating in my spirit my involvement with this “pagan day” this year, which I decided to not turn the lights on, but have my juices ready in case someone comes over. Well, no one came at all this year, so I have all these juices left over. I was telling my friend this and the idea of giving it to these “folks with signs along the highway exit ramps” would be a blessing.

Well, the holidays visiting family was going to be a great time do it. When I arrived in the cities yesterday (CHRISTmas Day) morning, I had my juices ready (along with food). I forgot I had them in my back of my car until I saw this guy with a sign along the highway exit by my parent’s home in St. Paul. It would have to be a quick and give as there were going to be cars coming behind me coming off the highway (eastbound on I-94). I grab one of the juice bottles (w/Bible verse) and a carton of some bakery goods. I ran over to the corner with my car running and quickly gave these items to this guy. I asked what his name was, he replied “Ben…thank you!”. I ran to my car and said “God bless you” and got to my car in time before the car came behind me coming off the highway. I did a quick prayer for Ben and went “home” to visit family for the holidays.

Today (26th of December 2014), I had another opportunity on that same corner, but it was a different guy with a sign along the highway exit ramp (Ruth & I-94). I noticed this guy as I was heading across the highway bridge to drop my car off to get an oil change at Firestone. When I dropped my car off early this morning (8:30ish), I got a bag of one juice bottle w/Bible verse and my last carton of bakery goods. I took it with me as I walked back home to wait to get my oil change done. This time, I had the time to chat with this guy, so I walked across the street and gave these items (prayed for preparation earlier) to him. He was grateful as he said thank you as he put the bag down by some of his stuff as he continued to hold his sign. Being that curious talkative guy, I asked his name and he replied “Tom” . I then asked about why he is here, he replied-“I got laid off my job several months ago and sleeping over at a friend’s house nearby’ (paraphrase as I can’t remember exactly what he told me word for word). He then shared, he’ll be getting his Social Security benefits soon. I would later share about what brought me to town (visiting family for the holidays). Prior to our talk, the Bible verse on “Silver or Gold I don’t have, but I have Jesus”-Acts) came to me, so I decided to tell Tom about Him. He then repeatedly told me he is Christian. I then asked him if I can pray with him for God’s provision. He then replied, “I don’t feel like getting prayer right now….I’m not feeling well as I caught the flu”. In my mind, I had a feeling this guy had some “hurt” in the past and didn’t want anything to do with God. I then replied, “..well that’s the best time to get prayer because your sick?” as I smiled. He then repeated again he was a “Christian” already, so I decided to move on and didn’t want this guy to “blow-up”. As I walked away to go back “home”, he would repeat and shout again “I’m a Christian already” as I quietly prayed in my Spirit for him. If you are reading this, please pray for Tom and Ben too…thanks!
