10 Reasons The US Needs Better Border Security By Dave Anderson – May 25, 2016 listland.com
“…The real concern that many have is that unregulated and illegal immigration will give rise to social problems, threatening jobs, overwhelming the amenity provision in border areas and threatening the traditional American way of life…

Most countries regulate who may enter and why, whether as short term visitors or to live and work so there is no shame in the US doing likewise. Indeed as a nation the US has very strict entry visa requirements. Nevertheless voters, particularly in border states, concerns continue to express concerns about the policies used to secure the border and the funding given to finance enforcement. The debate tends to polarize into two separate camps with typical Republican voters arguing that more funding needs to be diverted to secure the borders. Meanwhile Democrats tend to espouse the idea that immigration is generally a positive and want to make it easier for illegals to legalize their status reflecting the de-facto reality of life on the ground.

We believe that border security should be viewed as a priority and furthermore 71% of Americans agree with us. Here are 10 of the reasons we believe better border security is vital for America…”

“..For far too long, the United States has failed to enforce its immigration laws. Its visa system does not adequately serve the needs of the economy, legal immigrants, or U.S. citizens. Cartel violence and continued illegal immigration along the U.S. southern border have many Americans concerned. Americans are demanding a border and immigration policy that will keep the U.S. free, safe, and prosperous—not an amnesty that simply exacerbates the problem.

Border Violence on the Rise, Illegal Immigration Continues. The U.S. has made progress on securing the border, but the border is still not secure. Drug cartels have seized control of major parts of Mexico’s northern border—with more than 6,000 murders in 2008 from drug cartel violence. The threat of spillover violence in the U.S., as well as continued illegal immigration, remains a significant problem. …”

The Right To Refuse Service? Businesses and Discrimination Louis Marlin — February 4, 2014 business2community.com
“..Restaurants and stores qualify as “public accommodations” even if they’re a private business. As such, discrimination laws apply just as much on private property and to private businesses as they do in any public place.

Whether you post a sign or not, businesses never have the right to refuse or turn away customers because of their race, gender, age, nationality or religion. In addition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, several states have their own civil rights legislation designed to prevent discrimination. The Americans with Disabilities Act also prohibits discrimination in public accommodations, making it illegal to refuse service to individuals who are disabled or handicapped…

..there are some valid reasons for asking customers to leave. Individuals or groups who are causing trouble or being disruptive may be asked to leave, while restaurants or other businesses with a capacity limit can turn away customers to prevent this limit from being exceeded. Businesses can also refuse service to those who come in just before closing time or to those who are not making any purchases during their visit. There are various other examples – the key thing to note is that in each example, the decision to refuse service is not arbitrary or based upon an individual’s specific characteristics. Declining to serve someone has to be reasonable and justifiable. If customers are not properly dressed, you can ask that they leave, but if a person is wearing reasonable religious apparel and you dislike their beliefs, you can’t use that as an excuse to send them on their way. How Unskilled Immigrants Hurt Our Economy
A handful of industries get low-cost labor, and the taxpayers foot the bill.

Steven Malanga
Summer 2006 The Social Order
California city-journal.org
“…Velasquez’s story illustrates some of the fault lines in the nation’s current, highly charged, debate on immigration. Since the mid-1960s, America has welcomed nearly 30 million legal immigrants and received perhaps another 15 million illegals, numbers unprecedented in our history. These immigrants have picked our fruit, cleaned our homes, cut our grass, worked in our factories, and washed our cars. But they have also crowded into our hospital emergency rooms, schools, and government-subsidized aid programs, sparking a fierce debate about their contributions to our society and the costs they impose on it…

Yet while these workers add little to our
economy, they come at great cost, because they are not economic abstractions but human beings, with their own culture and ideas—often at odds with our own. Increasing numbers of them arrive with little education and none of the skills necessary to succeed in a modern economy. Many may wind up stuck on our lowest economic rungs, where they will rely on something that immigrants of other generations didn’t have: a vast U.S. welfare and social-services apparatus that has enormously amplified the cost of immigration. Just as welfare reform and other policies are helping to shrink America’s underclass by weaning people off such social programs, we are importing a new, foreign-born underclass. As famed free-market economist Milton Friedman puts it: “It’s just obvious that you can’t have free immigration and a welfare state…..”

Immigration Is Hurting The U.S. Worker By Steven A. Camarota on April 1, 2007 cis.org
“..The United States needs fewer immigrants, not more. Lower levels of immigration, both legal and illegal make sense for my country because the growing number of undereducated people crossing our borders have hurt less educated native-born workers. The U.S. needs to focus on reducing overall immigration levels. This means a drop in the number of immigrants from Latin America, which accounts for half of the new arrivals, many of them at the lower end of the educational spectrum…”

Of Course Immigrants Take Jobs From People; But They Also Create Them For Others Tim Worstall , Contributor Apr 4, 2015 @ 09:07 AM 15,547 forbes.com
“..One of the standard arguments against immigration is that those immigrants then take a job or two that could have been done by some native born worker. This is, of course, entirely true: immigrants do indeed take jobs that could have been done by someone else, native born or not. However, that’s not the entire story. Immigrants also bring with them (whether they are documented or not) their own set of desires and needs. And fulfilling those desires and needs thus creates a job or two that other people can do: some of those will obviously go to the native born. So, yes, immigration does “steal jobs” but it also creates them. What we’d actually like to know then is what is the net effect: and the net effect is undoubtedly beneficial overall. Thus the reason that economists generally believe that immigration is a good thing..”

Migrant Workers Hurt by Slowdown

NEUTRAL

Yes, Immigration Hurts American Workers By GEORGE J. BORJAS September/October 2016 politico.com
The candidates tell drastically different stories about immigration. They’re both skipping half the truth.
“..Here’s the problem with the current immigration debate: Neither side is revealing the whole picture. Trump might cite my work, but he overlooks my findings that the influx of immigrants can potentially be a net good for the nation, increasing the total wealth of the population. Clinton ignores the hard truth that not everyone benefits when immigrants arrive. For many Americans, the influx of immigrants hurts their prospects significantly.

This second message might be hard for many Americans to process, but anyone who tells you that immigration doesn’t have any negative effects doesn’t understand how it really works. When the supply of workers goes up, the price that firms have to pay to hire workers goes down. Wage trends over the past half-century suggest that a 10 percent increase in the number of workers with a particular set of skills probably lowers the wage of that group by at least 3 percent. Even after the economy has fully adjusted, those skill groups that received the most immigrants will still offer lower pay relative to those that received fewer immigrants…

We don’t need to rely on complex statistical calculations to see the harm being done to some workers. Simply look at how employers have reacted. A decade ago, Crider Inc., a chicken processing plant in Georgia, was raided by immigration agents, and 75 percent of its workforce vanished over a single weekend. Shortly after, Crider placed an ad in the local newspaper announcing job openings at higher wages. Similarly, the flood of recent news reports on abuse of the H-1B visa program shows that firms will quickly dismiss their current tech workforce when they find cheaper immigrant workers…

When we look at the overall value of immigration, there’s one more complicating factor: Immigrants receive government assistance at higher rates than natives. The higher cost of all the services provided to immigrants and the lower taxes they pay (because they have lower earnings) inevitably implies that on a year-to-year basis immigration creates a fiscal hole of at least $50 billion—a burden that falls on the native population.”

Does Illegal Immigration Disadvantage American Workers? immigration.procon.org

Does Immigration Cost Jobs? By Viveca Novak Posted on May 13, 2010 factcheck.org
Economists say immigration, legal or illegal, doesn’t hurt American workers.
‘..Miller makes it all sound so easy: Eight million illegal immigrants working in the U.S., 15 million unemployed American citizens and legal immigrants — we could cut the number of unemployed in half if we just booted out the illegal workers. “The numbers are simple,” he says.

The numbers certainly would be simple, if they worked that way. But they don’t…

Immigrant workers “create almost as many” jobs as they occupy, “and maybe more,” said Madeleine Sumption, policy analyst at the nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute, which is funded by a range of foundations, corporations and international organizations. “They often create the jobs they work in.” In addition, “they buy things, and they make the economy bigger,” she told us…”

The Effects of Immigration on the United States’ budgetmodel.wharton.upenn.edu
“…Despite these increases in labor supply, in many cases immigrants appear to complement American-born workers rather than replacing them. Because less-educated immigrants often lack the linguistic skills required for many jobs, they tend to take jobs in manual labor-intensive occupations such as agriculture and construction. Even for low-skilled native-born workers in these industries, the effects of increased competition from immigrants are ambiguous, as many take advantage of their superior communication abilities and shift into occupations where these skills are more valuable, such as personal services and sales.
Similarly, highly educated immigrants face a disadvantage in communication-intensive jobs, and therefore tend to work in scientific and technical occupations. Highly skilled natives in management, media, and other culture- and language-dependent jobs face little competition from high skilled immigrants. The inflow of foreign labor is, therefore, concentrated in a subset of occupations that tend to employ many immigrants already. Consequently, it is earlier immigrants who face the greatest increase in competitive pressure….

More often than not, immigrants are less educated and their incomes are lower at all ages than those of natives. As a result, immigrants pay less in federal, state, and local taxes and use federally-funded entitlement programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, and other benefits at higher rates than natives. But they are also less likely than comparably low income natives to receive public assistance. Moreover, when they do take public assistance, the average value of benefits received is below average, implying a smaller net cost to the federal government relative to a comparable low income native.

However, immigrants often impose a heavier tax burden on natives at the state and local level. Immigrants — particularly those with low levels of education and income — generally have larger families and more children using public K-12 education, the largest component of state and local budgets. Furthermore, if immigrants’ children are not already fluent English speakers, the per-student cost of education may be substantially higher than for native-born children.
These factors impose short-term costs on state budgets. Over the long term, however, the upward economic mobility and taxpaying lifetime of second generation immigrants more than offset the initial fiscal burden.

Debunking the Myth of the Job-Stealing Immigrant On Money By ADAM DAVIDSON MARCH 24, 2015 nytimes.com

“..But immigrants aren’t oranges. It might seem intuitive that when there is an increase in the supply of workers, the ones who were here already will make less money or lose their jobs. Immigrants don’t just increase the supply of labor, though; they simultaneously increase demand for it, using the wages they earn to rent apartments, eat food, get haircuts, buy cellphones. That means there are more jobs building apartments, selling food, giving haircuts and dispatching the trucks that move those phones. Immigrants increase the size of the overall population, which means they increase the size of the economy. Logically, if immigrants were “stealing” jobs, so would every young person leaving school and entering the job market; countries should become poorer as they get larger. In reality, of course, the opposite happens.

Most anti-immigration arguments I hear are variations on the Lump of Labor Fallacy. That immigrant has a job. If he didn’t have that job, somebody else, somebody born here, would have it. This argument is wrong, or at least wildly oversimplified. But it feels so correct, so logical. And it’s not just people like my grandfather making that argument. Our government policy is rooted in it…”

Immigrants Aren’t Stealing American Jobs Tanvi Misra, CityLab Oct 21, 2015 theatlantic.com
More evidence surfaces that low-skilled native workers pursue different jobs than their immigrant counterparts.
“..Urban’s Maria E. Enchautegui studied a cohort of 16 million American workers without high school diplomas. She found that within this group, immigrants and native-born workers do very different jobs. In fact, she writes that native and immigrant workers at this level of education are much more dissimilar when it comes to their role in the job market than are workers at other levels of educational attainment. Here’s how she summarizes these results and their implication in a blog post:..”

Immigrants do jobs natives won’t do openborders.info
“..One of the arguments offered by supporters of expanded immigration, particularly in the context of low-skilled immigration to the United States, is that “immigrants do jobs that natives won’t do.” This argument, in the form stated, is incorrect, or at any rate, misleading. However, it does capture a conclusion many economists reach, which some have summarized as: “immigrants do jobs that wouldn’t exist if the immigrants weren’t there to do them.”

This position has been critiqued by many who are critical of immigration. For instance, in a syndicated column titled Immigration Taboos, Thomas Sowell writes:..

However, the actual economic argument is more subtle, and not so easy to ridicule. The key is to remember that prices not only affect the quantity of labor supply, but also the quantity of labor demand. If the supply curve shrinks inward because immigrants are not allowed in the labor market, then the price of labor increases, but the quantity supplied decreases, so overall, there are fewer jobs and less production…”

5 Reasons Why Immigrants Do Not Take Natives’ Jobs By Prof. Amelie F. Constant, Ph.D. huffingtonpost.com
“..In my World of Labor article “Do migrants take the jobs of native workers?“ I lay down the pros and cons of the impact of migration on natives and show that ‘migrants rarely take native workers’ jobs, and indeed they tend to boost employment effects in the long term.’ The five reasons are: a) self-employed migrants directly create new jobs; b) migrant innovators indirectly create jobs; c) new migrants fill labor shortages and lubricate the labor markets; d) the high-skilled contribute to technological adaptation and the low-skilled to occupational mobility, specialization, and human capital creation thus creating new jobs; e) by raising demand, immigrants cause firms to expand and hire more workers.

Public opinion research carried out in the U.S., France, Germany and the UK after the 2008-2009 recession also supports that finding. Accordingly, most people believe that immigrants fill job vacancies and many believe that they create jobs, rather than taking jobs away from native workers (see Figure 1)…”

If the argument is correct, there should be occupations comprised entirely or almost entirely of immigrants. But Census Bureau data collected from 2005 to 2007, which allow for very detailed analysis, show that even before the recession there were only a tiny number of majority-immigrant occupations. Wages rise on California farms. Americans still don’t want the job By Natalie Kitroeff and Geoffrey Mohan March 17, 2017 | reporting from Stockton, Calif. latimes.com
Trump’s immigration crackdown is supposed to help U.S. citizens. For California farmers, it’s worsening a desperate labor shortage.
‘..Solorio is one of a growing number of agricultural businessmen who say they face an urgent shortage of workers. The flow of labor began drying up when President Obama tightened the border. Now President Trump is promising to deport more people, raid more companies and build a wall on the southern border…”

That has made California farms a proving ground for the Trump team’s theory that by cutting off the flow of immigrants they will free up more jobs for American-born workers and push up their wages.

So far, the results aren’t encouraging for farmers or domestic workers.

Farmers are being forced to make difficult choices about whether to abandon some of the state’s hallmark fruits and vegetables, move operations abroad, import workers under a special visa or replace them altogether with machines.

Growers who can afford it have already begun raising worker pay well beyond minimum wage. Wages for crop production in California increased by 13% from 2010 to 2015, twice as fast as average pay in the state, according to a Los Angeles Times analysis of data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics…”

We went to upstate New York to try to understand the cat and mouse game going on between dairy farms and immigration authorities. We found a lot of wasted taxpayer money, racial profiling, and a broken system that unnecessarily treats family farmers and hardworking immigrants like criminals.

“..Isis has claimed that the gunman who killed more than 50 people in Las Vegas converted to Islam several months ago.

The group did not name Stephen Paddock, the man identified by police as the shooter, in a statement released via its Amaq propaganda agency.
..”

Police said the 64-year-old white American opened fire from the 32nd floor of a nearby hotel, where he had multiple weapons and is believed to have killed himself.

More than 50 people have been confirmed dead and 200 injured in the shooting, making it the deadliest in US history.

The shooting started shortly after 10pm local time, with footage showing concert-goers throwing themselves to the ground and running as several extended rounds of automatic gunfire rang out….
It came after the group claimed responsibility for a stabbing attack that left two young women dead in the French city of Marseille earlier on Sunday.

Isis was also linked to a car and knife attack in Edmonton, Canada, where a police officer found a flag used by the group in the perpetrator’s car.

She was not in the country Sunday when Paddock, her life-in boyfriend, attacked concertgoers on the Las Vegas Strip, leaving 59 dead and more than 500 others injured during a country music festival.

Danley was in the Philippines the day of the attack, according to NBC News. She traveled to Hong Kong on September 25 and is expected to return to the U.S. Wednesday, the news network reported.

At first, authorities called Danley an “associate” of Paddock because her ID was used to get his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

She was later cleared of any involvement in the shooting because she was not in the country, but Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo cautioned that could change because police want to speak when her when she returns to the U.S…”

Danley returned to Philippines – BI source
By Evelyn Macairan (The Philippine Star) | Updated October 4, 2017 – 12:00am

“…MANILA, Philippines — Marilou Danley, the Filipino-Australian earlier considered as a person of interest in the Las Vegas, Nevada shooting that killed 59 persons, has reportedly arrived in the country.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI), however, declined to reveal the travel records of Danley, 62, that would have confirmed if she is indeed in the country.

Danley reportedly arrived in the Philippines last Sept. 25 from Hong Kong..

“Based on reports, Marilou Danley is not a suspect and appears to have been cleared by the police, we are not inclined to release any information at this time, the information being confidential,” said BI spokesperson Ma. Antonette Mangrobang.

But they assured their foreign counterparts of the BI’s cooperation. ..”
New details emerge about Marilou Danley, girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock by William Wan, Sandhya Somashekhar and Marwa Eltagouri October 5 at 6:33 AM Play Video 1:10 washingtonpost.com
“..After being questioned, Danley said in a statement that she had no clue about his plans to carry out the massacre and pledged to cooperate with authorities struggling to determine what sparked the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

“I knew Stephen Paddock as a kind, caring, quiet man,” said Danley in a statement read by her lawyer Matthew Lombard, a criminal defense attorney. “He never said anything to me or took any action that I was aware of that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.”..

..

Danley is from the Philippines, but she lived for many years in Australia, where authorities have confirmed she is a citizen.

Danley has two sisters who live in Australia, according to news outlets there and old Facebook posts by the sisters, which have been deleted in recent days…

They were adorable — big man, tiny woman. He loved her. He doted on her,” Eric said at his home in Florida. The two often gambled side by side, he said.

Employees at a Starbucks in Mesquite, Nev., however, described the couple’s relationship differently. A supervisor at the coffee shop told the Los Angeles Times that Paddock often berated Danley in public. The Starbucks is the only one in town and is inside the Virgin River Casino.

“It happened a lot,” Esperanza Mendoza, supervisor of the Starbucks, told the Times. He would verbally abuse her when Danley asked to use his casino card to buy food…

More details have also emerged on Paddock, the gunman.

From 1976 to 1985, Paddock worked federal government jobs: as a letter carrier for the Postal Service, an agent for the IRS and an auditor for U.S. government’s Defense Contract Audit Agency, according to the Office of Personnel Management….

“AS VEGAS – A Minnesota native seriously hurt in the Las Vegas shooting has been moved from the ICU and is now able to spend time with his children at the hospital.

Phil Aurich was shot in the back as he was running away on Oct. 1, joining the list of well over 500 people injured in the mass shooting at a packed outdoor concert.

“We got a call in the middle of the night,” said Phil’s sister-in-law Sheila Aurich. “And Ben’s phone rang and it was Phil. We turned it off because we knew he was at the concert and I was like, ‘It’s probably a butt dial.'”

But seconds later, Sheila and her husband Ben, Phil’s brother, received another call.

“There was all this background noise and again started to think again, it was just a butt dial, until we heard Ali screaming, ‘Ben, Phil has been shot.'”

Phil and his girlfriend, Ali, ran for cover.

“They had seen three ambulances, and a cop car blocking them off,” Sheila said. “So they ran toward that, but as they got there, all three pulled away and then the cop sitting there said, ‘I am not supposed to leave, but get in.'”

Phil was still conscious when they arrived at University Medical Center. He was rushed into surgery. Twelve hours later, he would undergo another operation.

“He had some fairly serious organ damage,” Sheila said. “They had to remove his spleen, part of his colon, a ruptured diaphragm, which collapsed a lung and a fractured rib.”

The 36-year-old father of two spent most of last week in ICU, not able to see his children when he began his recovery.

The Still Report
“..
Synopsis: Good evening, I’m still reporting on the Las Vegas tragedy.
Here is what’s new:
1. “YourNewsWire” reports the following post on 4Chan on Sept. 11th predicting the Las Vegas shooting in a series of three mysterious posts:
Look I feel bad for some of you on this website. So I’ll let you in on a little secret. If you live in Las Vegas or Henderson stay inside tomorrow. Don’t go anywhere where there are large groups of people. Also if you see three black vans parked next to each other immediately leave the area. You’re welcome-John
Post #2 @05:28
It’s called the high incident project. They want to make the American public think that places with extremely high security aren’t say. They are trying to create more regulations. You will see laws proposed within the next few years to put up more metal detectors and other security devices. Media and politicians will be saying places with lots of police need even more police. I can’t guarantee anything will happen tomorrow but Las Vegas is on their minds.-JohnPost #3 @ 05:55
If there plan a successful state of Nevada I will pass a law in the future making all casinos have mandatory metal detectors and backscatter machines. Soon after a federal law will be passed to put these machines and universities, high schools, federal buildings, you name it. OSI Systems and Chertoff are the main producers of these machines. Sometime around 2020, Chertoff and OSI will merge into a single company. After they merge the owners will sell off all their stock and make billions in profits. Mr. Chertoff has been in contact with Sheldon Adelson. Mr. Adelson will become a huge sponsor of these machines and he will be the first to put them in his casinos when the law passes. This is my last message for now. Don’t expect me to return anytime soon-John

2. Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of the Las Vegas shooter, has returned to the United States cooperating with the FBI.
3. Danley has admitted that the shooter wired her $100,000 in the Philippines one week before the massacre, telling her to go buy a house for her and her family. Shooter’s brother says, “We’re wealthy people. $100,000 isn’t a lot of money.”
4. A man who looks like the shooter was dressed in a pink NASA t-shirt was spotted some weeks ago at a Bernie Sanders rally against Trump. ..”

Did he act alone?

Despite initial reports of multiple gunmen, police do not believe at this time that there were any other attackers. Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, described Paddock as a “lone wolf”. Officers were initially seeking his traveling companion – Marilou Danley – who has now been located. She is believed to have been his roommate, however the police have since announced they do not believe she was involved in the shooting.

Evidence Suggests Las Vegas Shooter Had Help, Sheriff Says
HuffPost Nick Visser,HuffPost Wed, Oct 4 9:42 PM CDT yahoo.com
“..Stephen Paddock, the 64-year-old retiree who sprayed bullets onto tens of thousands of Las Vegas concertgoers, probably wasn’t able to pull off the shooting on his own, police said Wednesday.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters during an evening news conference that he believed Paddock, who he referred to as “disturbed and dangerous,” likely received some form of assistance. Nearly 60 people were killed in the attack and almost 500 were injured.

“Do you think this was all accomplished on his own?” the sheriff asked, referencing the stockpiles of weapons and ammunition that Paddock acquired over decades. “You’ve got to make the assumption he had to have some help at some point.”

Police found 50 pounds of an explosive shooting target called Tannerite, as well as 1,600 rounds of ammunition in Paddock’s car parked outside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

“It remained in the car for some reason,” Lombardo said of the material.

There were “well in excess of thousands of rounds still present in the room” when Paddock was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot, Lombardo said. Additional guns and several pounds of Tannerite were found in Paddock’s home in Mesquite.

Authorities deemed Marilou Danley, Paddock’s girlfriend, a “person of interest” in the investigation. They interviewed her shortly after she arrived in Los Angeles from the Philippines on Wednesday, but the FBI said she wasn’t taken into federal custody.

Danley said in a statement that she was “devastated” by the attack, and had no indication Paddock had any plans to carry it out.

“He never said anything to..”

Here is yet even more concrete evidence that there were multiple shooters at multiple venues in the Las Vegas 91 Harvest festival psyop shooting event.

It would also seem that there is more proof here that people did die and get injured. Remember People can still die in False Flag and Psyop events,.

The main idea behind a false flag is to cause fear and casualties, sometimes even death, and then BLAME IT ON A FAKE ENEMY. All this to justify some gross indignation or radical agenda in the name of Peace and Safety.

The scumbags in charge do not care about human life. It is of no value nor consequence to them. The people that died during this event were a blood sacrifice for the demons in charge.

“…Also, there is a lot of evidence (such as carvings and paintings of dinosaur-like creatures)—and (unfossilized) dinosaur bone with red blood cells—that makes sense in the light of the biblical account of history. Did you know that a dinosaur may be described in detail in the Bible? Check out Job 40:15–19. And if the notes in your Bible state that this animal was an elephant or hippo, read the passage again to see that this can’t be so.

Did you know the word “dinosaur” was first invented in 1841? Dinosaurs were probably called “dragons” before that time. And the Hebrew word for “dragon” is used a number of times in the Old Testament. There are also dragon legends prevalent in cultures around the world. It’s possible these are accounts of encounters with beasts we today call dinosaurs.

“…They’re believed responsible, in the times of ancient mariners, for spawning tales of sea serpents and dragons that would rise like demons to steal crewmen and sink tall ships.

They’re rarely encountered but sometimes when they die or are near-death, they surface and wash ashore.

Only a handful of live specimens have been found. Interestingly, Catalina was the site of at least one such discovery.

In 2006, a 15-foot oarfish was spotted in the island’s Big Fisherman’s Cove. Harbormaster Doug Oudin snorkeled alongside the docile creature before it eventually perished. It was collected for study.

Last year at the Baja California resort city of Cabo San Lucas, a 15-foot barely-live oarfish washed ashore on a popular beach. It also died soon after its discovery.

The modern discovery of oarfish may date to 1808, when a 56-foot serpent-like creature washed ashore in Scotland.

In 1901, a 22-foot oarfish drifted onto the sand in Newport Beach, California, becoming, according to one reference book, “the basis for many sea-serpent stories told by local bar patrons for more than a decade after its discovery.”..”

The Last Dinosaur of the Congo

“…Sources as reputable as Scientific American and the BBC believe that there may still be dinosaurs in the most remote jungles of the Congo. We sent some amateur cryptozoologists out there to look for the creature the local pygmies call Mokele-mbembe, or “he who stops the flow of rivers.” What they ended up experiencing in the Heart of Darkness has to be seen to be believed. …”

Hadrosaur skin found by David Catchpoole
Published: 23 July 2013 (GMT+10) creation.com
“..The discovery of hadrosaur (duck-billed dinosaur) skin near Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, is a classic example. University of Regina researcher Mauricio Barbi recounts: “As we excavated the fossil, I thought we were looking at a skin impression. Then I noticed a piece came off and I realized this is not ordinary—this is real skin. Everyone involved with the excavation was incredibly excited ….”2

Their excitement is understandable. Everybody is taught that dinosaurs became extinct millions of years ago yet here is a piece of real skin. No wonder they didn’t expect to find it, and initially thought it must have been only a skin impression. The basic question arising from the discovery ought now to have been, “Why is it that we’ve been taught these fossils are millions of years old, when here quite plainly is evidence to the contrary?”

Instead, Mauricio Barbi and colleagues are trying to answer their question: “how the fossil remained intact for around 70 million years.” ..”
