Deep Thought: How to show “love” throughout the year?

What did you do for Valentines Day? Do you “celebrate” it? Why? What “holidays” do you observe throughout the years and do you ever re”searched” the “origins” (history)? Have you stopped afterwards?

Where Did Valentine’s Day Come From? Is It Wrong for a Christian to Celebrate It?
Posted on Jan 25, 2011 by United Church of God
‘..The World Book Encyclopedia tells us regarding Valentine’s Day: ” “The customs connected with the day . . . probably come from an ancient Roman festival called Lupercalia which took place every February 15. The festival honored Juno, the Roman goddess of women and marriage, and Pan, the god of nature”” (1973, vol. 20, p. 204)…

Friendship and sending cards are wonderful things, and God is not opposed to romance at the right time in the right way. But does the pagan religious history of Valentine’s Day taint the modern practices? What does God have to say about observing pagan traditions, renamed or not?

“When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess … do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods … Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it” (Deuteronomy 12:29-32)..”

Valentine’s day exposed: the truth about its pagan/satanic origins!

Pagan Roots of Valentine’s Day

The Shocking History of Valentine’s Day
“..February 14th has been observed as a day to express love for untold centuries. But where did this holiday come from? Why do people send valentine’s cards to those whom they desire? Where did the symbol of the heart come from, and why is it used to represent love and sexual desire? How did a character named cupid become associated with personal intimate feelings? Produced by the Eternal Church of God (WTC 2016)…”

“..Bottom Left: This is a typical Cross and Crown masonic symbol. Cross is a symbol of phallus, and the crown, the female counterpart. A typical kabbalistic male-female union. If you pay attention, you see these symbol as a logo of many churches, and as you can find on the Pinterest board, the logo of Jehovah’s Witness contains this symbol as well (see upper left side of the poster)…”
Origins of Valentine’s Day
“..When you see people doing the heart shape symbol with their hands, or using it in text message or photos, they unknowingly are doing a woman’s VAGINA shape, not realising they are promoting a VAGINA and sexual immorality!..”
Vagina Power and the History of Christian Symbols November 30, 2016 by Alexis Record
“I saw the symbol for vagina on the back of a car the other day. I also saw one on a business card, a necklace, a church bulletin, and even a Bible. Vaginas are everywhere! People in America must really love female sexuality…”

What is the origin of Valentine’s Day, and should Christians celebrate it?
“..Valentine died in approximately A.D. 270. Others claim the church may have decided to celebrate in mid February to “Christianize” the pagan Roman celebration Lupercalia. The first Valentine sent in the United States was in the 1840’s by Esther Howgald. Most of us enjoy “spoiling” a loved one on Valentine’s Day. Sending gifts and cards conveys love, affection, and friendship.

There is no biblical reason why Christians should not celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving their loved ones flowers, candy and/or cards. As with celebrating any holiday, the decision should be between the individual and God. Some people feel very strongly that observing any secular holiday is wrong, while others see it as harmless. The important thing to remember is that celebrating or not celebrating holidays should not be a cause for pride or division among Christians.

NOT Celebrate!

10 Simple but Powerful Reasons Christians Should not Celebrate Valentine’s Day joshuainfantado / January 27, 2016
“..It is estimated that Americans spend about $20 billion on this single holiday alone, making it the second most expensive holiday next to Christmas.

However, the majority is not always right.

One must ask whether Christians should celebrate this day. Most importantly, what does God think about Valentine’s Day?

Before I proceed, let me tell you this SHOCKING TRUTH: Valentine’s Day should NOT be celebrated by Christians.

In this post, let me share the reasons why this is so. Let me make it as simple as possible for everyone to understand. Here are the 10 reasons Christians should not celebrate Valentine’s Day…

Reason no. 4: You can Celebrate Love without Valentine’s Day

Why do so many Christians limit their love on a specific day, in this case, Valentine’s Day? Wouldn’t it be great to demonstrate your love every single day?

Married couples or those who are in a relationship can show their love and concern every day and not wait for Valentine’s Day to arrive.

After all, even if you celebrate your love on Valentine’s Day, it really feels awkward since this day celebrates lust and not true love…..”

Roberto Clemente (The Great One) MLB Legends

Roberto Clemente’s ‘problem’ is ours too Jan 15, 2017 | 2 comments
“..However, his treatment as a young player coming from his native Puerto Rico to the states was far less dignified and truly shameful. When Clemente left the island to play professional baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization he experienced unexpected discrimination based solely on skin tone — something African Americans here had long experienced.

Years earlier, as a starting pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1942, Hiram Bithorn became the first Puerto Rican to play in the major leagues. That was five years before Jackie Robinson “broke the color barrier.” But there was a big difference: Bithorn had light skin like all the other players in the majors.

Slugger Vic Power became the first Puerto Rican to play in the American League. But due to his dark skin, he received a different reception.

While racism is a most serious matter, Power was known to confront it with his quick wit. A long-told story from the 1950s recalls Power entering a diner and being told by the waitress, “We don’t serve Negroes,” to which he replied: “That’s OK, I don’t eat Negroes; just bring me some beans and rice.”..

..Black Pirates players were also excluded from viewing a film at a downtown theater that highlighted the 1960 World Series — as well as the annual Pirates golf tournament at the Fort Myers Country Club.

Wendell Smith, the groundbreaking African-American sportswriter who featured prominently in Jackie Robinson’s story, led the public campaign against training camp segregation.

Not mincing words, Smith wrote in the Pittsburgh Courier to and for black stars of the Chicago White Sox who trained in Sarasota: “Despite all your achievements and fame, the vicious system of racial segregation in Florida’s hick towns condemns you to a life of humiliation and ostracism.”..

Clemente and other dark-skinned players, who broke into major league baseball in the ’50s, would be forced to stay on the team bus while the white players enjoyed a meal in a nice restaurant. Their food came later when teammates would bring a burger or something else back to the bus.

Clemente, who was unfamiliar with such racial discrimination in Puerto Rico, saw the practice as insulting — what he considered to be “begging for food.” He told the other black players that anyone caught doing such a thing would have to fight him to get it.

It is gratifying to remember Roberto Clemente — deemed by biographer Maraniss as “baseball’s last hero” — for his gifted athleticism and the altruism that brought his earthly life to an early end.

But we need to remember more — especially this weekend. Racism is ugly, awful, sinful and inexcusable wherever and whenever it is found. It is not the will of God, yet it is not easily overcome. It lingers and even gets resurrected….

..A younger black player for the Pirates, Al Oliver, considered Clemente a mentor and person of sterling character. He told Maraniss that Clemente “had a problem with people who treat you differently because of where you were from, your nationality, your color, also poor people…”

Well, Jesus had a problem with that too. We should all see that as a problem — and give voice to it.”

Already active in baseball’s RBI program (Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities) in Puerto Rico, he has now set out to uplift the children of Pittsburgh. From Cuba To Cooperstown: The History Of Latinos In Baseball #Baseball #MLB
“..Clemente wasn’t the first player to break through into the majors as a legitimate Latino threat, though. This month, Hennessy All-Stars is celebrating Erick Aybar of the Los Angeles Angels, a Dominican Republic star who has a Golden Glove and All-Star appearance to his name. Hennessy is honoring the history and culture of Latin athletes in the sport, athletes like Aybar and Clemente, who solidified the notion that Hispanic players were here to stay, a path later followed by David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, and other stars who ingrained their heritage into the fabric of the sport…

Laying Down Roots

The roots of baseball in Latino nations can be traced back to Cuba, when young Cubans studying in the states returned home with a working knowledge of the sport. It took at least a decade for the U.S. pastime to catch on, but in 1878, the first Cuban baseball league held its inaugural game. During that time, in which Cuba assimilated the sport, Estevan Enrique “Steve” Bellán — the first Latino player to play in professional leagues in the states — made his debut in the U.S.’ National Association of Baseball Players (NABBP). Born in Havana, Cuba, Bellán studied at St. John’s College in New York, then embarked on a career in early American baseball leagues. He played big league ball from 1868 until 1873, before returning to his native Cuba to help cultivate the county’s growing infatuation with the sport as a player/manager. To this day, Bellán is credited as one of the forefathers of Cuban baseball, shuttling his experience in the states to his birthplace and using his position to infuse the first crop of Latino baseball players with the necessary fundamentals and skills to excel in the growing competition..

Breaking Barriers

Citing the growing talent of the Cuban leagues, the Cincinnati Reds visited the island in 1908 to engage in a series of exhibitions against some of the country’s top talent. In a five-game series, Cuba’s Almendares club bested the Reds, winning four of the games played. The American organization was highly impressed with two specific players: Armando Marsáns and Rafael Almeida. Marsáns and Almeida took their skills to the American minor leagues for a few seasons, but in 1911, the Reds called up the players to join their major league team, the pair becoming the first athletes from Cuba to become major leaguers since Bellán. While Almeida struggled to get off the ground — after three seasons, he was sent back to the minors — Marsáns became a rising star, ranking in the top of the National League for batting average and stolen bases. Following a career full of injuries, Marsáns ended his tenure in the majors in 1918 — last playing for the New York Yankees — then later serving as the first Cuban manager of an American minor league team….

The 1930s saw a spike in players of Latin decent entering the major leagues. Baldomero Almada debuted with the Boston Red Sox in 1933 as the first Mexican to join the upper echelon of baseball. Almada played professionally for seven seasons, and shortly after his arrival, José Góme — the second Mexican major leaguer — made his debut, becoming the first Latino player to join the Phillies organization. In 1938, a milestone was reached when Miguel Angel González — a Cuban player turned coach — became the interim manager for the St. Louis Cardinals, marking the first time a Latino held that position in the majors…

Jackie Robinson struck his fist through the racial barrier in 1947. Robinson’s signing to the Dodgers signaled that the color line, which had prevented African-Americans, as well as black Latinos from reaching the pinnacle of the sport, was about to dissolve. That dissolution became even more clear when, in 1949, the aforementioned “Minnie” Miñoso became the first black Latino player to join the MLB when he debuted with Cleveland Indians…

The floodgates for Latino players to join the ranks of professional American baseball proceeded to swing open. The aperture widened even further when Fidel Castro’s regime shut down the Cuban League in 1961, this coming on the heels of the last Negro Leagues collapsing at the tail end of the ’50s. In the ’60s and ’70s, players from Puerto Rico, Panama, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela — among other Latin American nations — started streaming into the majors, and new stars were born. Juan Marichal, Rod Carew, and Tony Perez all set out on Hall of Fame careers during this era. Showing that an affinity for the contributions of Latino players is also retroactive, Martín Dihigo — an electrifying Cuban player who was a threat in all nine positions and competed in Negro, Mexican, and Cuban leagues — was elected into the Hall at Cooperstown in 1977, without ever having played an MLB game…”

Breaking Generational Curses
Posted on August 19, 2011 by The Still Man
“..If the Bible is true, then everyone who dies goes immediately to his reward, be it Heaven or Hell. Therefore, anyone who claims to communicate with dead people is actually communicating with demons.

There are many religions that practice necromancy. Roman Catholicism is probably the best known. Roman Catholics pray to the Virgin Mary and also to dead saints. The Virgin Mary of Roman Catholicism is not the mother of Jesus Christ, but an ancient goddess. However, because they believe they are praying to Mary, who is dead, Roman Catholics are actually communicating with demons. This means that Roman Catholics are practicing witchcraft. They are earning themselves a generational curse.

Moreover, because prayer is a form of worship, Roman Catholics are worshipping demons. In fact, according to Strong’s Concordance of the Bible, necromancy is a form of worship. (See Strong’s #1875 and 4161.)..”

Pastor Gino Jennings breaks the Virgin Mary statue, idolatry !

“Housecleaning” is what we call getting rid of anything in your home that may cause you demonic problems. Look through your home as you pray and the Lord will let you know what items need to be destroyed that have become an idol to you. Any type of collection – dolls (roots come from voodoo), owls and frogs (abominations to the Lord, as stated in the Bible), unicorns (lust and financial problems), etc. You may have only one or two of these items, but they are just as deadly as a collection. We have read and heard countless testimonies of what these items can do. Dolls levitate, walk and talk; owls caused cancer and when destroyed the person was totally healed. Please pray and seek the Lord regarding which items you must destroy. With pictures of movie stars you form a soul tie. One example is of a woman who came to us for DELIVERANCE from men and drugs. As I was praying for her the Lord impressed that the picture of Marilyn Monroe that was hanging above her bed was part of the problem. Marilyn Monroe had trouble with men and drugs and she died because of it.

..You do not have to worship any item for it to be idolatry. Just having these things in your home give demons legal right to be in your home.

Deuteronomy 7:25 “The graven images of their gods you shall burn with fire. You shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be ensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. 26) Neither shall you bring an abomination (an idol) into your house, lest you become an accursed thing like it; but you shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.”

Do lots of research on items that you are not sure about. You may find that their origin is rooted in idolatry…

Things to remove from our homes and churches – Ministry of Truth
This is reinforced and proven through all of their pagan and idolatrous … Biblical names the origin behind religious images and icons is still pagan – it is still …. BUDDHA STATUES AND PICTURES (some Buddha statues even have rosary beads … surely use an image/idol of one as a spiritual doorway into a person’s home!..”

As stated above, pray and ask the Lord what you need to destroy. The word of God says that he who seeks shall find.

HOUSE DELIVERANCE: After these things have been destroyed then break curses over you and your family and cast the demons out of your house; also anoint your house.

PERSONAL DELIVERANCE: Confess, repent and ask forgiveness for the iniquity of idolatry for you, your ancestors, spouse, former spouses, former sex partners and their ancestors. Break the curses and cast OUT demons (of yourself) having to do with idolatry….

As I watch news programs about a famous author or person being available to sign books, etc., you see long lines of people lined up for this once in a lifetime event. It could be an idol…

Hypocrites?: Religion-Christianity

dc Talk documentary – “The Greatest Single Cause”

I became a Christian back in the spring of my Sophomore year of college. It was the beginning of my walk (faith) with God (“Heavenly Father”). People around me might’ve seen that and might’ve NOT seen that I’m a Christian based on my lifestyle. For example, there has been times when I swore and the people around me might not even think I’m a Christian. Then there are times when I was “doing” good deeds (e.g. giving food to the poor) and thing I’m a Christian. What it boils down to is not what others “think about” (do NOT judge) me, but what God (Heavenly Father) “thinks about” (I’m a child of Him when I accept Him as my Savior) me. No, no one is perfect (sinless), but instead of “judging” someone-we can pray for them as “some/all” of us are growing in our faith.

Pope Francis’ opinion: better to be an atheist than a hypocrite By Marshall Connolly (CALIFORNIA NETWORK)
2/24/2017 (2 days ago)
Catholic Online (
Pope Francis denounced hypocritical Catholics who live what he called a “double life,” and said it would be better to be an atheist.
“LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) — During daily Mass on Thursday, Pope Francis made his opinion clear, that he thinks it is better to be an atheist than a hypocritical Catholic.

Pope Francis specifically referred to Catholics who laundered money or refused to pay fair wages to employees. However, many Catholics do live double lives of all kinds, attending Mass on Sundays while practicing contradictory habits. Such people do damage to themselves because they sin, and they harm the Church because they are a poor reflection of it. Worse, they may inspire others to sin as well.

Pope Francis’ homily was inspired by the Gospel in which Jesus warned against people who “causes one of these little ones to sin.”

“Cut off your hand…pluck your eye out,” Pope Francis said. “Scandal is to say one thing and doing another; it’s double life.”

He warned about living a life that is not Christian adding, “on this, the Lord is very severe.”

What then of atheists?

Pope Francis’ remarks suggest his opinion is that it is better to be a “good atheist,” than a bad Christian. A good atheist could be a person who still lives in accord with the moral teaching of the Catholic Church, even if unwittingly, and despite their ignorance of God….”

Ku Klux Klan – A Secret History

What The Ku Klux Klan Looks Like Today Harrison Jacobs Apr. 4, 2014, 6:15 PM
“…Cross-lightings are most often associated with attempts by the Klan to intimidate or threaten minority members of its community, though Klan members claim it is meant to symbolize the members’ faith in Christ. Some current Klan organizations attempt to distance themselves from cross-lightings meant to intimidate people, which they call “cross-burnings.”..

The FBI reported in August of 2006 that white supremacist groups were infiltrating police departments around the country. Why didn’t the media report on this? It’s very troubling to have confirmation to what we in the black community already knew about some police.

KKK Leader Says Members Include ‘Police Officers, Paramedics & Judges’
By: Jamal Booker
January 30, 2014
A Ku Klux Klan leader in Florida has suggested that its members might be holding respected and prominent positions throughout local communities across the U.S. A grand dragon who oversees a chapter of the Loyal White Knights of the KKK in central Florida said they currently have “police officers, paramedics and judges” in their local roster of more than 1,000.

“They’re everywhere. What you’ve seen is just the tip of the iceberg right now,” said the man, who was interviewed by WFTV on the condition that his voice was altered and face covered by a Klan robe. “We are just proud to be white.”

The KKK leader denied that the organization was a hate group, although he repeatedly used the N-word to describe black people throughout the interview. A separate Klan member who was interviewed and only identified as “Exalted Cyclops” said he thought it was important to “preserve” the white race. “You start looking at numbers, start looking at census and you realize whites are the minority,” he declared.

Although the KKK had more than two million members back in the 1920s, the current roster is reportedly somewhere between 5,000-8,000. They have taken on an extensive recruiting process in recent months by leaving flyers on the lawns of local communities in the middle of the night. Although the content is highly offensive, it isn’t illegal and falls under First Amendment protection…”
Invisible Robes of Injustice: It’s Hard to Fight What You Can’t See 12 March 2014 Written by Jeffrey L. Boney
“…These are the words written by former Senator Robert C. Byrd in a letter, where he declared that he would never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by his side. This same man, with those racist thoughts, was eventually elected to Congress, and specifically the U.S. Senate, with the full responsibility and power to introduce bills and vote on legislation that would significantly impact Black people in this country for years.

One historical truth that is important for people to remember is that African Americans have always had to deal with the dark forces of racism, not only by hate groups, but by those with the power to disenfranchise, discriminate and even murder. One of those dark forces, that was created to intimidate and keep Black people in a state of fear and bondage, still has a presence in the U.S., and while many members of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) aren’t as easily identifiable as they once were, they are still having an impact by being clothed with “invisible robes of injustice.”

..While many KKK members still wear the traditional robes and costumes, many of them do not. There are many elected officials, police, community leaders and business people who wear “invisible robes of injustice” every day; hiding their true identity and their true beliefs. Sadly, behind closed doors, and in the dark of night, many of them are plotting and planning to execute strategies that are intended to disenfranchise and harm Black people….

..When you look at today’s Congress, elected officials, the prison system, judicial system, the educational system, law enforcement policies and other issues affecting Blacks, there are many glaring examples of how Blacks have been disenfranchised based on the actions and decisions of people with the authority or with the capacity to do so. Many of those actions and decisions are reminiscent to the way the Klan operated and executed their level of terror on Black people in this country without wanting to be identified; they have become unofficial members without the robes and sheets.

What About Hypocrites in the Church? By Robert Velarde

“”Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

–Matthew 7:3-5 (NIV)

“With these witty but also biting words, Jesus causes his listeners – then and today – to carefully examine their own lives. Are we going about accusing others of minor shortcomings when, in fact, we ourselves are ignoring our own behavior? If so, we are hypocrites. Once our hypocrisy is removed, then we are in a position to help others.

Unfortunately, one obstacle to the acceptance of Christianity that is often raised is provided by Christians themselves. Phrased in many ways, the core of the objection is, “If Christianity is true, why are there hypocrites in the church?” In other words, if Christianity is really supposed to change people, then why do some who profess to believe in Jesus set such bad examples? This article will answer the “hypocrisy objection” to Christianity. But first, let’s explore the definition of hypocrisy in general, as well as in a biblical sense…”

Religion: What is Christianity?

Is it a religion?

Religion is a “man-made” institutions like school, government, etc.. Anything “made” by man is “not” perfect, which we will always find something “wrong” in it. Thus, there is corruption (e.g. violence, abuse, etc..) in schools, government, etc.. We then shouldn’t give our 100% trust and total dependence on any of these institutions. Who can we trust then?

Is it violent?

Religion has caused many wars. Jesus taught..

“””Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.”Matthew 26:52

Then why there are “so-called” (e.g. KKK-Protestant “racist” group, Catholic Crusaders, etc..) Christians go against Jesus’ teachings. Isn’t it hypocritical?

Triune God/Trinity

Theology Q&A – God
Dr. J. Rodman Williams 3. God – the Holy Trinity
“..Let me give you two verses-and there are many others-that validate Christian belief in the Trinity. First, there are Jesus’ own words in Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Second, there are Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 13:14: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.” Incidentally, the Catholic Church did not start the doctrine of the Trinity…”
There is Only One True God By: Dr. John Weldon
‘…..The biblical doctrine of the Trinity is vital to understand because it concerns who God is, which is essential for having a proper realization of the nature of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. To understand the Trinity is to understand God as He has revealed Himself to be. To misunderstand the Trinity is to fail to understand who God is. ..”
Don Stewart :: What Are Some Common Misconceptions about the Trinity?

There are a number of misconceptions that must be cleared up when considering the doctrine of the Trinity. The following points need to be made. The Trinity is not a pagan idea. It is based upon what the Bible has to say about the nature of God. There is no credible evidence that the Trinity was borrowed from any pagan belief. The Trinity doctrine is difficult for humans to comprehend but not impossible. The mystery of the Trinity means it is a truth that was formerly secret that God has now revealed to humanity. The Trinity doctrine is not contrary to reason. Reason, however, should not be the ultimate test as to what is true and what is false. The doctrine of the Trinity does not destroy the oneness of God. Much confusion surrounds the word person with reference to the Trinity. The three members of the Trinity are persons in the sense of distinct personalities not separate individuals. The Trinity is not formally or explicitly taught in Scripture. The church did not invent the doctrine of the Trinity. The church only recognized what the Bible taught on the subject. Although the term Trinity is not found in the Bible the Scripture teaches one God exists in three distinct persons. Finally we must note that criticisms of the Trinity are based mostly upon misconceptions of what the Bible has to say about the subject. ..”

Trinity! An Explanation for Muslims
“….To say, as the minority cult of the Maryanyas did, that Mary was the mother of God through whom He produced a physical son, and both were to be taken as separate gods besides God, is absurd! This ludicrous and heathen concept of the Trinity is completely condemned by both Islam and Christianity! The Quran rejects it in clear terms in Surah 4, Al Nisa, verse 171. The Trinity has also been missuderstood to mean that God is three persons and only one person at the same time and in the same sense. Neither are there three substances in one substance. In opposite to this contradictions the Christians definition of the Trinity is expressed in the Athenasian Creed: “We worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; Neither confounding the Persons; nor dividing the Substance (Essence).” The word “person” is here used in the sense of “self with a particlular function” (The Illustrated Bible Dictionary” by F.F. Bruce, IVP Leicester, 1962, see “person”)…

“…There are a number of verses in the New Testament that call Jesus and the Holy Spirit God, besides God the Father. (John 8:58, compare with Exodus 3:14; Acts 5:3-4 etc.) In the light of this truth the following verses are understood to be speaking about the Trinity:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name (singular!) of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).

In Acts 2:38, 8:16, 19:4 People are baptised in the name of Jesus only. Since Jesus is now included in a way he was not in John’s baptism (19:4), the abbreviated form is used in the beginning to emphasize the distinctive quality of the new baptism.

“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14).

For more verses speaking about the Trinity when one considers the Biblical context see Ephesians 4:4-6, 5:18-20, 1 Cor 12:4-6, and Romans 8:9-11.

Even tough the word “Trinity” does not literally occur in these passages, the concept is quite clearly taught. In Islam too God is called “El Adl,” meaning “the Just,” “El Wajid,” meaning “The Inventor or Maker,” “Edh Dhur,” meaning “the harmful,” etc. in the list of the 99 names of God. However these words are nowhere found in the Quran but Muslims still accept these attributes as belonging to God. See The Muslim Doctrine of God by S.M. Zwemer, American tract Society, 1905, pages 39-45…”
