Are all sins equal to God? Is all sin the same? gotquestions.org
“..So, although Jesus said that lust and adultery are both sins, that does not mean they are equal. It is much worse to actually murder a person than it is to simply hate a person, even though they are both sins in God’s sight. There are degrees to sin. Some sins are worse than others. At the same time, in regard to both eternal consequences and salvation, all sins are the same. Every sin will lead to eternal condemnation (Romans 6:23). All sin, no matter how “small,” is against an infinite and eternal God, and is therefore worthy of an infinite and eternal penalty. Further, there is no sin too “big” that God cannot forgive it. Jesus died to pay the penalty for sin (1 John 2:2). Jesus died for all of our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). Are all sins equal to God? Yes and no. In severity? No. In penalty? Yes. In forgivability? Yes.
All Sins Are Not Equal J.I. Packer/ DECEMBER 28, 2004 christianitytoday.com
“..Scripture shows that in God’s estimate some sins are worse and bring greater guilt than others, and that some sins do us more damage. Moses rates the golden calf debacle a great sin (Ex. 32:30)….
… Ezekiel in his horrific allegory says that after Oholah (Samaria) had ruined herself by unfaithfulness to God, Oholibah (Jerusalem) “became more corrupt … in her lust and in her whoring, which was worse than that of her sister” (Ezek. 23:11, ESV). John distinguishes sins that do and do not inevitably lead to death (1 John 5:16), picking up Jesus’ warning about the unforgivable sin (Mk. 3:28-30).

What is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? bibleinfo.com
“…Is there a sin that cannot be forgiven?
Yes, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, is any sin that a person clings to by continually resisting the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. Keep in mind that there is not one specific sin that is unforgivable, such as lying, stealing or murder, but rather a perpetual hardening of the heart and willfully sinning against God and man (1 Timothy 4:2; Titus 1:15). In Acts 7:51, Stephen says the following to the Pharisees, “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.” In a nutshell the unpardonable sin is any sin that a person doesn’t want to give up, confess, or even ask forgiveness for and additionally doesn’t want to hear any more about it from the Holy Spirit…”

QUESTION: What are the seven deadly sins?
Lead to “death”?
What is the sin that leads to death, or the sin unto death, that John talks about? compellingtruth.org
“..Many interpretations exist regarding this “sin that leads to death.” Unfortunately, the text is not clear what this “sin” is. It does appear clear John wrote to believers and was speaking of physical death. For example, Ananias and Sapphira experienced physical death for their sin (Acts 5). In 1 Corinthians 11:30, Paul wrote concerning wrongful practice of the Lord’s Supper, “That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.”
There is Sin that Leads to Death
1 John 5:14-21
by Cooper Abrams bible-truth.org
“…c. The unpardonable sin is in context a part of the dispensation of the Law. It is a specific sin of blasphemy, in which a person would credit the devil for the work of the Holy Spirit. The special circumstances involved in blasphemy can not be duplicated today. The Scribes and Pharisees committed this sin in attributing the work of Jesus to the Devil. (see Matthew 12:24, Mark 3:22, Luke 11:15)
People KILLED by God – The Bible Study Site biblestudy.org
“..Ananias and his wife Sapphira were New Testament believers. After selling some land, they decided to give the church PART of the proceeds but make it seem that they were donating the entire amount of the sale. The apostle Peter, however, saw through their mutually agreed ruse. After confronting each one separately regarding their sin, they both immediately died (Acts 5:1 – 10).

Born with a hole in her heart, she saw Jesus before angels carried her home
June 10, 2014 blog.godreports.com
“..After her second birthday, she had her first vision of Jesus. It happened in their family room, only a few weeks before her passing….
“Hey Jesus. Hi. Hi Jesus,” she said, to her mom’s surprise.
“What do you see, babe? Tamrah asked.
“Hi Jesus. Hi,” little Giselle continued, her eyes wide with delight.
“Where is He?
“Right there,” she pointed.
Giselle had at least two more visions of Jesus in the weeks before her graduation to heaven. One happened in the car while they were driving and another in a store.
One day in the car, Giselle began to spontaneously sing, “Rejoice! Rejoice! (E)mmanuel…” She had not learned to pronounce ‘E’s’ so it came out as ‘Manuel.’
“How does Giselle know that Christmas song?” sister Jolie Mae wanted to know….”

He showed me the inside of a church. The church had light-colored woodwork. The doorknob was a triangular glass-colored doorknob. And then the vision showed me in a rust-colored stretcher and people gathered around praying for me. There was a man in a pinstriped suit. Then God showed me a picture of myself out riding a bike on beautiful green grass, and it said ‘March 29th’ in just great big bold letters — that was three weeks away.” ..”

Sal: Personal Oral (3:45 minute) Interview
Last week (April 4th/5th 2016), a client (anonymous for confidentiality) at my workplace shared this story after she sporadically told me she was “healed” (medical condition is confidential, but trust me-I saw her in a really serious medical condition that I just laid my hands on her and prayed for her during this “severe” medical condition in front of my co-worker) and “saw” Jesus. I have to be honest, I was skeptical at first, but as she shared some specifics of her personal encounter with Jesus in Heaven. Her story confirmed many other stories I’ve heard (e.g. Victoria T. from my local church when she shared late last spring (see Sermon Download 04.19.2015 – Speaker: Spencer and Victoria Tiernan – [DOWNLOAD]) of 2015. I already have consent from her to share:
“…He said it wasn’t my time to go yet… (Sal: “so you told me earlier that you saw your grandparents/relatives and they were younger lookin’?) Yup..you never grow old in Heaven…(Sal: this happened last Friday)..Yup..this was a real miracle for me. God is watching over me (Sal..healed from your “medical condition”)..and that I was walking, running, playing, etc.. with the dogs and cats…(Sal: you were walking..this is an encouragement for people in wheelchairs too)…that I was a miracle I was in Heaven and not in wheelchair…and saw ____(name of our friend is confidential)____ (saw ___(friend)___? how did he look?)….”good..(Sal-younger?)…yup…(Sal-no white hair?)…yup”…(Sal-‘should share this with __(another common friend of ours)__) ..(Sal-Heaven is real!)..and there was angels and yeah..and see some…nice trees, was really beautiful (Sal..”new earth”)..if I go back to Earth , I would like to come down was as a dog (Sal: we’ll get new heavenly bodies..)..[stopped video]
After she shared this story, I remembered most of last week I was singing the chorus of this song (“Come & Let Your Presence fall in this…”)…e.g. workplace) that was in the list of worship songs for last Sunday as part of my local church worship team.
I was so inspired and encouraged by her story, that I told her to keep sharing this to as many people as she can. She would immediately share this with her peers, visitors at our workplace, co-worker, etc.. I’ll keep you updated of any further testimonies. Till then, may this and all these stories (above and below) encourage you in your faith and to share your own personal “faith building” story to as many people around you!
2 Corinthians 5New Living Translation (NLT)
New Bodies biblegateway.com
” 5 For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. 2 We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. 3 For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.[a] 4 While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life. 5 God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit.
6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. 7 For we live by believing and not by seeing. 8 Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him. 10 For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body…”
Ron Zaucha: A Vision of Jesus, from cbn.com
“…“I had a vision there in jail of Jesus Christ. He appeared to me as real as you are and finally spoke. I said, ‘What do You want?’ And He said, ‘You.’ I says, ‘You can’t want someone like me. I’ve done all these things. Hurt all these people. Done all this stuff in my life.’ And He said, ‘I came for people like you.’ When that happened, I knew I needed to change my life.”
That night Ron called his mother and grandmother who bailed him out of jail. The first thing he asked for was to be taken to church. It was Easter Sunday.”..

I SAW JESUS! (The Karen Templin Story) Jesus Did It!
By: Karen Templin
“…As I was thinking I should look for His face, I raised my eyes, and I couldn’t have been more surprised by what I saw. I saw Jesus — He was actually there! It was just His face, but he was alive, and moving around. He had dark, shoulder-length hair with light streaks of gray, and He was wearing a crown of thorns. I just gazed up at Him, and He was smiling at me with the most loving smile I had ever seen in my life!
The first thing I thought was – He looks a little different than He does in His pictures, but only slightly different. I had expected His hair to be longer, and His nose was a little different…
Next, I saw Him sending beams of transparent, white light towards my heart. I felt the light penetrating my being. The light felt like nothing, other than pure love and compassion. Jesus was very kind and loving towards me — not condemning at all. I only sensed a strong outpouring of love from Him. He seemed perfect in His goodness and kindness.
Next He began to communicate to me, but no words were used. He communicated by sending me feelings. There was knowledge in the feelings that I understood easily and clearly as it was transferred into my mind.
He said that He already knew about it all — my lack of forgiveness towards others — how I had been hurt by other people, and the circumstances in my life that had made me feel that way. He said, “I know everything about you.” That surprised me greatly, but I also felt comforted by it. It meant that He had never been far from me like I had always thought. I realized that I had been constantly under His supervision, like when our children are small, and we never let them out of our eyesight.
Again, I felt more compassion from Him pouring out to me. He said, “I feel your pain. I grieve with you.” He was like a loving parent who will pick you up when you are hurting, and hold you in his loving arms. He will comfort you, and wipe away all of your tears. I actually felt like I had been comforted, and held in the arms of Jesus.
After He comforted me, He spoke again. He told me not to worry or concern myself with these things because He would take care of it for me. I sensed an incredible strength in Him. I felt like a burden had been lifted, and I felt like He could easily carry all of my burdens. We have all been taught about the meek and humble man, but he exuded strength, and I could feel it.
I was still looking at Him. I was still surprised by some of the things that He said. He was still looking at me. He still wore that loving smile on his face that would melt the heart of the worst hardened sinner. He was still sending me love, and it was to overflowing. There was so much love that I felt like my heart couldn’t hold it all, and it may burst if I took in much more. I began to feel like I couldn’t handle it anymore. Maybe in human form we can’t. I don’t know.
Seeing all of the goodness and purity in Him, I felt like I may break down into tears and sobs. I started to feel unworthy of His pure holiness. He was a soul at the highest level of perfection. Seeing this makes you aware of even your smallest sins. I felt unworthy of Him, and then I looked away.
When I looked back, He wasn’t there anymore, but I was left with a feeling of total awe. Jesus had been there. I had seen Him. I had felt Him. He had communicated with me. The thing I was left knowing, above everything else, was that He loved me more than anyone had ever loved me in my life!..”
What does Jesus really look like?
by Tom Brown tbm.org
“..I didn’t see Him in his traditional garments; instead I saw Him sitting in a wheelchair with a blanket over His legs. There was suppose to be an elderly man sitting there, but instead it was the Lord. As I looked across the room, all I could see was Jesus. I saw Jesus in the place of all the people. He wore a nurse’s uniform. He sat in a chair where there was a lady supposed to have sat. I could not see anyone’s face. I only saw the Lord.
As I looked in astonishment, I heard the Lord say, “Whatever you have done for one of the least of these, you have done unto me.” The vision ended…”

A “friend” got “theological” with me this past weekend over the holidays. He asked, why this church doesn’t allow us to “practice” our old ways (e.g. shamanism, see-> Deuteronomy 18). I then thought about my former Catholic up-bringing. I didn’t think about it much when I was growing-up, but friends in college would question some of the “theological” practices (e.g. worship Mary, statues/idols in the sanctuary, priests are called “father, etc…). It’s not just “religious” stuff, but just “old” ways in our “sinful” lifestyle of the past (e.g. drunkeness or any other addictions that controlled/slaved you in bondage, etc…) that prevented one to a “personal relationship” with the Heavenly Father.
All That’s Inside -Jon Thurlow (Lyrics)
“Uploaded on Feb 19, 2011
(Let there be) no reservations, no walls
But just an open door in my heart for You
I want to give all that’s inside of my heart
I want to give all that’s inside of my heart to You
Everything else is fading away
Only love (only love) only love remains (only love remains)
It’s not the riches, it’s not the fame
It’s not the power, it’s not my name
Only love (only love) only love (only love) only love (only love)
So take the same love that’s inside Your heart
And put that same love deep inside of me
Everything else, everything else,
Everything else is fading (only love remains)”
Above was a song a friend from church played during our weekly prayer get-together (FOCUS), which really touched me about this topic that was discussed this past weekend.
Hope and pray this will touch you all with the “New Year” (2016) coming-right around the corner! 🙂 Any thoughts, stories, shares, additional Bible verses, etc.. related to any of the content above? Would love to hear from ya..thanks!

Twins pour it on Orioles as Duffey cruises Aug 20th 2015
“BALTIMORE — Twins right-hander Tyler Duffey was unfazed by a downpour that stalled Thursday’s start by two hours and 31 minutes. In just his third Major League start, the 6-foot-3 rookie responded to the delay like a veteran, going 7 2/3 innings to lead the Twins to a 15-2 victory and their fourth straight win over the Orioles this season.
Duffey was aided by a five-run second inning from the Minnesota offense, which drew some early boos from Baltimore fans directed at starter Miguel Gonzalez. After an 11-pitch first inning, Gonzalez tossed 40 pitches in the second as four different Twins players picked up an RBI in the frame….”

Veteran outfielder motivates team to battle back, gets it done with ninth-inning blast
CLEVELAND — A wise man named Torii Hunter once said after a gutsy victory in Cleveland, “When trees are in hurricanes and storms, all they do is grow deeper roots so they won’t tip over. That’s what we have to do is grow deeper roots, dig deep and try to withstand the storm.”
Hunter played the role of motivational speaker during the Twins’ 10-9 victory on Saturday — and the role of philosopher after it.
The team was on the heels of a deflating four-game sweep, and manager Paul Molitor said before Friday’s contest that the team needed to figure out a way to weather the storm.
The Twins appeared to respond well, jumping out to an early 6-0 lead against rookie pitcher Cody Anderson, but the lead was one they quickly relinquished, as the Indians tagged starter Mike Pelfrey and reliever A.J. Achter for nine runs over the next two innings….”
Twins Talk: Hicks Has Arrived! 23 Stories and Photos by Gordy Jones Jul 15 .kmrskkok.com
“great to watch Aaron Hicks as he blossoms into a solid major league outfielder, and as a hitter who can drill the ball with authority.
Aaron grew up in Southern California, playing golf and baseball nearly every day. People who know say he could have gone pro in golf if he had chosen to take that route, and maybe even could do that today if he devoted 100% of his focus to his clubs rather than his bat. But he chose baseball, and although there were a few hiccups on the road to where he is today, folks who knew him, and knew of his athleticism and talents on the field, knew that he’d one day be a lot more than just a capable ballplayer.
Aaron graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2008 in Long Beach, where he hit .407 (114-for-280) with 24 doubles, 10 triples, and 6 home runs in 97 career high school games. The multi-talented young man also pitched for his high school team, going 11-2, with a 1.11 ERA in 94 innings. He was drafted by the Twins in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft in the 1st round (14th overall). Aaron made his major league debut in 2013 on opening day as the leadoff hitter. But slumps and injuries prevailed, and Aaron bounced around between New Britain, Rochester, and Minnesota for the next two seasons. Being a great competitor, at times Aaron was very frustrated — but he always held his head up high and showed great patience. Torii Hunter would often call him, and offer him some mentoring thoughts. Even Hall of Famer Dave Winfield had a chat with Aaron at spring training. Dave told me, “The man has talent. At times like this I wish I could be a coach for a week, and just work with the guy. He just needs to refine a few things, and he’ll be fine.” Nowadays, Dave is a special assistant at the Major League Baseball Players Association. Part of his job is visiting every camp during spring training and talking to the guys about what they can and can’t do contractually, and offering some friendly, expert advice.
I talked to Torii about his protégé. He said, “Aaron Hicks is playing well. He’s really been playing some great defense; I think he’s helped us out a lot. His bat is starting to come alive. And then you throw in his defense — he saves a lot of runs – and for us, those are like RBIs.” I said I understood that Torii was trying to help mentor young Hicks. My mistake: I used the word “trying”. “No! I don’t TRY! I do! Trying is for losers. I do.” He paused for a moment and then went on: “You know, Dave Winfield mentored me. He had me for a year here, then throughout the years I had the chance to hang out with him. He gave me a lot of insight. I’m just doing the same thing.”
When I last talked to Aaron, I congratulated him on how things are coming together for him, and asked him what’s different. He said: “I don’t know…I just stay positive about the game, I set goals, and I compete. And every at-bat, I make it a tough at-bat.” I told him how much I enjoy watching him make those great catches in center field, and he replied, wearing a big Torii-type grin, “Thank you. I enjoy making those catches! It’s great playing next to Torii, too. For me it’s a learning experience every day. He gives me something new every day; something to think about. You know, it’s fun to have him here. He can be crazy, too, but a good crazy, making it fun in the clubhouse.”
Major League Fans!
A few weeks ago I told you about an actor named Tony Todd whom I was reacquainted with through Torii Hunter. He was a guest of Torii’s at Target Field a little over a month ago. Tony is a great guy, and we hit it off. We had actually met 20 years ago during the filming of “Little Big League,” in which Tony plays ballplayer Mickey Scales. We have recently stayed in touch, and a couple of weeks ago Tony called me and wanted to order a couple of my children’s books, “The Baseball Guy.” He wanted one signed to himself, and the other to “Charlie.” Tony grew up with Charlie Sheen, Star of “Two and a Half Men,” and “Anger Management” (with Tony Todd). Both are very funny, but Sheen’s role as Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn in “Major League” is the best…especially to a guy who’s been around the game.
Last week I was taking the boys to “Minions” when my phone began ringing — three calls in three minutes, which I ignored. Finally, I thought it could be important, so I picked up. Calling from L.A., on the other line was Charlie Sheen. He wanted to thank me for my book, said he was honored to receive it, and called me a “F’n” genius. He said my inscription to him was as nice as the book. Then we talked baseball, and it was just like having any of my buddies on the phone. He was sincere, nice, and a real baseball guy. He also told me how much he enjoyed watching my friend, the late, great Kirby Puckett play. He even invited me to California to meet him, which I’d like to do in the future. Baseball fans come from all walks of life, and live in their own little world. You never know whom you’ll meet. Baseball is all about fun, and all about “winning.””

KANSAS CITY — The Twins called up top prospect Miguel Sano in hopes he could help jumpstart their struggling offense, and he ended up factoring into both runs scored against the Royals on Friday night at Kauffman Stadium.
Sano went 2-for-4 with his first career RBI and his first career run, but it wasn’t enough in a 3-2 loss in 10 innings. Twins manager Paul Molitor, however, was impressed with what he saw from the 22-year-old rookie…

Why the Twins are at the top of the AL Central By James O’Hara June 4 at 8:00 AM
So far the Twins have combined a good bullpen with some great luck to rocket to the top of the Central. And their luck hasn’t only been during the game, they have also benefited from a relatively easy schedule in such a tough division, with 30 of their 50 games coming against teams currently below .500.

With best record in AL, Twins never want May to end By Betsy Helfand / MLB.com | 7:42 PM ET
“It’s May 31st and I think maybe we’re going to change tomorrow to May 32nd,” Molitor joked shortly after his team recorded its 20th victory of the month.
The Twins capped off May with a 6-5 victory over Toronto on Sunday, marking the first time they’ve finished a month with 20 victories since 1991.
The victory also sealed the eighth series win of nine in the month and put Minnesota a half-game up for first place in the American League Central….
Minnesota ended May with a 30-19 record — the fifth most victories through 49 games in team history. After the Twins starting 1-6 and finished April 10-12, Hunter said the team has made some adjustments…
Paul Molitor has surprising Twins in tie for first in tough AL Central

Big League Stew
Yet despite those star-studded teams at the top, as June approaches it is the Minnesota Twins who have been the surprise of the division, racing out to a 28-18 record and a share of first place. The Twins didn’t make any sexy offseason moves unless you count signing 39-year-old outfielder Torii Hunter, or pitcher Ervin Santana who was suspended for 80 games before the season even began.
For a team that has averaged just 66 wins over the last four seasons, the Twins biggest offseason move was hiring Paul Molitor as their new manager. Molitor, a Hall of Famer and Minnesota native, had no previous managing experience but took the task of rebuilding a team that regularly won the division in the early part of this century under Ron Gardenhire.
After completing a sweep of the Red Sox on Wednesday night and extending their win streak to five, it seems the rest of the league is starting to take notice of the Twins.
You won’t find many Twins players on major-league leaderboards. Third baseman Trevor Plouffe is their early WAR leader, Joe Mauer – a career .317 hitter – is batting just .276, but as a team they’ve scored the eighth most runs in the majors. Pitchers Kyle Gibson and Mike Pelfrey are off to fine starts sporting ERAs of 2.72 and 2.77, respectively. But the Twins’ team ERA of 3.94 is only 16th best in the majors.
It’s hard to say whether the Twins are for real or if this is early-season, small sample size luck. They seem to be a team that is a jack of many trades, but master of none. Sometimes being just pretty good at everything can go a long way, just ask the Royals. Last season they were 14th in runs scored, dead last in home runs, 12th in team ERA, and 26th in fielding percentage. Doesn’t sound like a team worth watching, but they rode that all the way to within a game of the World Series.
Maybe Molitor’s miracle Twins can do the same in 2015….

MINNEAPOLIS — After being routed in the home opener against the Royals on Monday, the Twins were 1-6 and still reeling after a frustrating first week of the season.
But they bounced back, winning two straight against previously-unbeaten Kansas City, including an 8-5 win in the rubber game on Thursday afternoon that saw Minnesota post season high totals in both hits (14) and runs. It was the first series victory of the season and it came against a club that entered the series with a 6-0 record.

“.. homeless man reportedly called 911 after Sterling showed him his gun after the man asked him for money, an official told CNN. A Baton Rouge police dispatcher then told officers a man matching Sterling’s description “pulled a gun” on the 911 caller, according WAFB-TV.

Here’s what liberals DON’T want you to know about Louisiana shooting victim
Written by Matt Palumbo on July 7, 2016 allenbwest.com
“…Police were called after Sterling had been threatening a homeless man with a firearm for asking him if he had any spare change. The homeless man had made the 911 call. After police arrived, Sterling had resisted arrest, and appeared to make a grab for his firearm at one point. This is still disputable, however. In the video footage of the shooting, you can hear the officer shout “He’s got a gun!” and “if you f—king move, I swear to God.” One of the officers then says something unintelligible, and two shots are fired.
So who is Alton Sterling? For starters, liberals should know he possessed an illegal firearm. As a felon with a lengthy rap sheet, Sterling is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm. Police records show Sterling had been a member of the Bloods gang, and had a list of offenses including battery, assault, drugs and weapons charges, and owed $25,000 in child support. He was also a registered pedophile, having impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 20. The media, by contrast, has portrayed him as a loving father of five.

Do you ever encounter “homeless” people begging you for money whenever you walk the streets of a city or even driving around a neighborhood? What do you do? Do we walk pass them to ignore them? What would Jesus do?
I admit, I have many times ignored these individuals because I was in a hurry or just had bad “judgment” on them. Well, last weekend I decided to “do something” . I was walking from
…to the Minneapolis Convention Center on a Sunday morning (July 13th 2014). I was there for the All-Star festivities (e.g. Fan Fest). As I was walking towards Nicollet Avenue, a guy came by walking besides me asking for money. I then told him I rather not give him money, but instead of food. He declined and asked for money to buy some food instead. Well, he was very persistent, which I kept being persistent. I then “tried” to quote a Bible verse “Silver or gold I don’t have, but I have Jesus” (paraphrased this because I forgot the exact order..lol).
Anyways, he just continued to walk with me to Nicollet Avenue as he shared his name (Isaac). I then smiled and replied, “that’s a name in the Bible”. He then said, “I know, I’m already born-again and saved” (I questioned myself in thought, “what is he doing here then?”). Anyways, I know we all go through some “wildernesses”, so I wanted to help this guy out to build his faith too. I asked him about his background, which he told me he already has a job. However, it’s only with a temp agency. I’ve had jobs with temp agencies before, so I somewhat can relate. I asked him what he’s good at , but he was persistent about the money thing again. Along the walk, I noticed a street preacher (lady) reading Bible verses, which is the same corner where I’ve seen others before. I thought to my self that this is so ironic! I then told him to come to Morris where there are many jobs available. He said, he might do this in the future. I then asked about his family, which he told me he has siblings in Indiana. I asked what made him move here from there. He replied, the “jobs opportunities”.
We then sat down in a bench where there were other “homeless” people around the area getting ready for the “big day” to beg for money. I told him I would love to pray for him about his current circumstances, which he obliged. I was chatting too much as I was holding his hand about to pray that he told me, “I thought we were going to pray together”. I stopped talking and started praying for him with a smile. He then persistently ask for money again, so I told him “no” and took him to the Walgreens around the corner. I told him he can get whatever he “needs”, so he shopped around and picked a deli sandwich and a snack (?). I even told him to get a drink as it’s supposed to get warm later on. He picked a drink and kindly double checked if he can get one. We then went to the counter and I bought his items As we left the store, I gave him more encouraging words (forgot what I said) as he joined his peers by the bench we were sitting before to pray.
I then continued my way to the Minneapolis Convention Center for Fan Fest 2014!
What do you think? Did I do the “right” thing? Is this what Jesus would’ve done? Did I share God’s love? What could’ve I done better?
