“Published on Nov 16, 2016

“I look at my brothers and sisters of Standing Rock as the moral compass of this country.”

After a week of violence inflicted by law enforcement on unarmed peaceful water protectors, over 480 clergy and people of all faiths arrived in solidarity with Standing Rock. In solidarity, they repudiated the Doctrine of Discovery, denounced the Dakota Access Pipeline, and affirmed the position of the water protectors on the ground.

Deep thought: Trinity-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is One?

A Look at the Trinity From a Messianic Jewish Perspective

Jesus in Genesis: 1. The First Word of the Bible

I asked my dad once how do you convince a Jewish person that Jesus is the Messiah. He told me to show them Jesus in the Old Testament. My first thought was like everyone’s, the Old Testament (The Tanakh) is for the Jews and the New Testament (B’rit Chadashah) is for the Christians. My dad had it right. Jesus is on every page of the Old Testament; you just have to look. To prove my dad’s point, look where Jesus is hiding in plain sight in the very first word of the Bible. God bless you for watching.—John

Islam

How can Jesus be God when the Hebrew Bible says God is not a man? Cf. Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Hosea 11:9. answering-islam.org
“…Answer:

None of those biblical texts say God CANNOT be a man, but say that God IS not a man, a major difference:

“God IS not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” Numbers 23:19

“And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or have regret, for he IS not a man, that he should have regret.” 1 Samuel 15:29

“I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath.” Hosea 11:9

It is true that during the Old Testament period God hadn’t become a man, but this doesn’t deny that God could choose to later become a man, specifically in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Hebrew Bible itself supports the view that God can become a man, without ceasing to be God, since there are places where God appeared in human form:

“The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw THREE MEN standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, ‘If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little ..”

Trinity! An Explanation for Muslims arabicbible.com
“..The Bible speaks about the Holy Spirit being God:

Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit… You have not lied to men but to God” (Acts 5:3,4).
In a similar way the Quran (Surah 4, Al Nisa, verse 171) speaks about Jesus being a Spirit proceeding from God! In other parts people are described as having been strengthened with a spirit from God (Surah 58, Al Mujadilah, verse 22). At the creation Allah has breathed into man of His spirit (Surah 15, Al-Hijr, verse 29), but Jesus only IS the Spirit from Allah!

This is why Islamic tradition calls Jesus “Ruhullah,” that means “Spirit of Allah.” Neither the Spirit of Allah (the Thoughts) nor the Word (the mind expressed) of Him can have been created since whatever proceeds from God Himself is part of Him and must therefore have existed eternally. If God was without Mind at any time He would not be God; or if he was without Thoughts at any time He would cease to be the Almighty One which is impossible! Muslim theology confirms this belief by stating that the Quran is uncreated and has existed in eternity with God. There again we find plurality within unity, something that is other than God but it is at the same time one with God…”

This teaching must not be taken to intellectually attack Muslims around you. We love our Muslim brothers and sisters and the purpose of this video is simply to gain clarity on their understanding of the Christian doctrine of Trinity and help communicate the same to them in love.
