Why Did the Black Community Leave the GOP for the Democratic Party?
Sep. 7, 2012 2:46pm Tiffany Gabbay theblaze.com
“..The Democratic Party has been stellar at spinning a revisionist history where the righteous among their ranks fought “tirelessly” to further the cause of Civil Rights, women’s rights – indeed human rights – throughout time immemorial.
In fairness, progressives have had one lynchpin to their argument: Then-President Lyndon B. Johnson did sign into law the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The fact that the crux of the bill was drafted and pushed through Congress by Republican Senator Everett Dirksen, and the fact that LBJ staunchly opposed the passing of Civil Rights legislation in the decades leading up to his presidency, bears little relevance on the left’s present-day narrative.
Likewise, the Ku Klux Klan – the disgraced racist organization to which even Democratic President Harry Truman belonged — was founded by Democrats and, in a sense, operated at one point as the de facto militant branch of the party.

“…While Republicans often get the reputation for being “the party of the rich,” seven of the 10 richest members of Congress are Democrats, according to the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP).
CRP compiled a list of the 10 richest members of Congress using 2012 personal finance disclosure information, the latest available.
These wealthy Democrats are not afraid to use their big bucks and high-powered connections to get ahead.
Here are the seven Democrats in the top 10 list:..

“..Democrats current political fortunes are not due to a significant shift in political consciousness to the right, but to their failure to live up to their campaign promises and the consequent disillusionment of many of their supporters.
The official unemployment rate is stuck at over 9 percent, with the figure at 16 or 17 percent once people who have given up looking for work or who are involuntarily working part time are included. The administration’s stimulus package at the beginning of 2009 helped stave off an even worse economic crisis, but was both too small and too heavily weighted toward tax cuts to significantly impact employment levels. Of course there were significant political obstacles from Republicans and conservative Democrats opposing a bigger stimulus, but instead of challenging these head on, Obama began by proposing a package at least one-third too small and then watched it get whittled down even further.
Even the promise to remove combat troops from Iraq has turned out to be a fraud. While troop levels are being reduced to 50,000, an anonymous administration official admitted that the troops that remained would continue to engage in combat missions. And in addition to the U.S. troops, a further 85,000 private military contractors—many of them nothing more than highly paid mercenaries—will also remain in Iraq. As conservative journalist Eric Margolis noted in the Toronto Sun,…”

…The Hypocrisy of the Two Party Establishment
The two political parties and their mainstream media love to use such terms and labels and even though they use them incorrectly, they have convinced millions of people to blindly go along with what they say without question. The irony is, they are complete hypocrites!
The two political parties use terms like left-wing, right-wing, conservative, liberal, etc., but the irony is that they never even live up to their own self-proclaimed labels. Rarely if at all, do they ever follow their own glossy party platform! But as long as the mainstream media has conditioned their blind followers to fear the “other” party winning as the end of the world, most will continue to vote for either of the two parties. (Until of course, a strong enough opposition finally breaks them)..”

The wimpy GOP Congress- Republicans are breaking their promises to conservatives washingtontimes.com
“..Virtually every Republican running in 2014 promised to do everything he could to repeal Obamacare, beginning with its defunding, which a GOP majority in Congress could deliver. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had pledged repeatedly that he, too, would defund and repeal it. After the election, a majority of Americans expected an end to this monstrosity.
However, when Republicans had their chance through defunding efforts, leadership buckled — if it had any intention in the first place to do anything, which is doubtful. Those election promises meant nothing when it came time to deliver. Mr. McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner have been absolutely useless in keeping the No. 1 promise the GOP made to voters in November.
Hypocrisy in Politics and Religion
10 February Hypocrisy in Politics and Religion – Dorothy Rowe philoagora.com
“When George Bush and Tony Blair departed the political stage, we hoped that the eight years of political liesand hypocrisy had come to an end. No more Weapons of Mass Destruction, no more God speaking directly to the president and telling him to go to war, no more Blair excusing himself by saying, ‘I believed that what I was doing was right.’Believing that you are right does not make what you do right. Hitler believed that what he did was right. Blair’s successor Gordon Brown might not have Tony Blair’s charm, but he did seem to tell the truth, while Obama, we hope, will save the world. People welcomed the new pope, Benedict XVI, while overlookingthe fact that he had been in the Hitler Youth. They assumed that, like many young Germans, while he outwardly conformed, he knew that what the Nazis taught was wrong. However, when he reinstated Bishop Richard Williamson who had claimed that only about 200,000 to 300,000 Jews had died in the Holocaust, many people had to reconsider their assumption…”
